Lilly was pretty abrasive and bitchy, but there're several moments that show she's more than just a simple "bitch". She recognizes that her father is an asshole, and she's apologetic for his behavior. She can open up to Lee and reassure him that murdering the senator doesn't make him a bad person. She clearly cares about Clem the most out of anyone in the group outside of Lee and maybe Carly; I personally thought it was really tragic that the main reason Lilly went nuts over missing supplies was because she was worried about Clem's health...
The Lilly we met in episode 1 would have never tried to kill Carly or Ben in cold blood, and it's frankly an insult to the writers to say Lilly was a completely static bitch who was nothing but a bitch. She and Kenny were probably some of the best characters from season 1, which is why I'd much rather have her return than Kenny. Kenny got FIVE full episodes to himself. Lilly got maybe TWO in total (she wasn't in half of ep.1 and 2/3 of ep.3) and it'd be cool to see what happens with her character.
