  • Eh. In this scenario, I'm going to go and say that this is alright, as it added to the story, and to the theme the game wanted to set.

  • no... since the dog was being hit by clementine it went for the neck. its the same if someone stabbed you and there was no escape youd most likely try to kill them. it was self defense.

Yes, you can, in self defense, because if you don't fight back at all it kills you. o.o That's pretty simple to understand, the dog kept attacking Clementine to attack her, not because she was fighting back.

  • Ha, ha, this should go on the list of the 1000 reasons "How do You know You play The Walking Dead too much" list:
    638) I'm analyzing why the dog scene is unrealistic (while having no problem that this is only a set of unreal characteres in an unreal world, during a completely unrealistic ZA scenario). I think it is incredible how our brains work - accepts the BIG lie, lets us get emotionally involved in characters that aren't even real but still nitpicks on little things, like this about the dog, or why Clem's hat doesn't fall off :D

  • robert morgan, i agree with everything you said. this dog went above and beyond by going for the kill; even after clem dropped the can... im starting to think this altercation was symbolism for human on human cannibalism

  • suspension of disbelief is good, but you might have taken it too far..

theres most likely a real life lesson to be learned in situations like this

  • i think you suspended your disbelief for too long. you understood the meaning behined this scene... but i absolutely think people should consider what would happen in real life, the things that happen in this game

  • the bottom line is this dog ACTED decent before the food came into play

  • Looking for meaning in things is good, but I think you might have taken it too far..

it's most likely just something the writers put there to make an impact on the character

  • dogs can smell good. They can feel goodness of a person

Wow, did you actually just suggest that dogs have a magical ability to distinguish "good" people from "bad" people (as if things were that black and white to start with) upon first meeting them? in real life?? I really hate to be the bearer of bad news, but magic doesn't exist in reality, and there is no such thing as the smell of good.

  • The dog liked the taste of Clem blood. He's still a carnivore despite what all the "dog whisperers" want to say.

  • I knew there were vampire dogs in the Walking Dead!

  • Dude, this caught me off guard, Lmfao!

Maybe it's been using the "be cute so that someone feeds you" strategy Dog be treading on Clementine's turf.

Because its his own opinion and everyones entitled to their own. Hell ive been attacked by dogs and one thing i know about them is that you cant read them like a book..Personally i thought the scene was pretty damn realistic

Robert Morgan. It's a video game. The dog saw the food clementine may have been teasing it when she have some and he dog he wanted more beans. So he snapped. Anyways this isn't even real so why does it matter?

  • yes i understand he is. and yes i agree with you. i think its really rare but surely something thats possible. but the walking dead is about dead things rising and walking around killing everyone. i dont think its the most realisitic thing ever,

  • The dog is an ANIMAL. An animal that's survived for over a year on its own. Sure, it can be nice with those gestures of kindness like the frisbee, but at his core, he's an animal. Animals have instinct and when he had food, he was going to take it.

  • the dog attacked Clem before she hit him, which is why she was hitting him in the first place.
