Lol true that man. Another Race thread seriously what does it matter not like it makes a difference to the game.I expect this thread will be closed by the time I'm back online So I bid you all Adieu and Happy New Year!
Omid is said to be Persian, which is indeed middle-eastern (Iran). He was probably raised in America or moved there at a young age as he has an American accent, though.
Clementine, meanwhile, is african-american. Seems like they made her skin a little darker in Season 2 because people were getting confused.
But then again, as Chuck would say, it doesn't matter as long as you're alive.
Not this again, I thought we closed the matter ages ago. Her father was black and her mother is presumed half cast. So she is half cast. Happy… more now? Please let this be the end of this nonsense. And I also agree with Jexx21 why does their race matter anyway we all live, bleed and breath no matter our race.
Not sure how accurate that is, comparing to her. She's full black and is just light skinned. I guess no one here has taken biology101? Genes can lay dormant for a long time, and some genes can come out warped. Blacks can have blue eyes or light eyes, it would just be a genetic and RARE mutation. Light skin is sometimes your genes warping and changing. You can be full black and turn out white, yet genetically you're black.
To be honest she seems to be half black half aisan. her eyes are too bright to be pure black; they're like amber colored. her skin tone is to… moreo light to be black. she is what she is. i say she's half aisan half black. even for being black her skin tone is just way too light.
You say that, but people who hate race discussions often seem to be the people who are adamantly against having a gay couple in the game.
Double standards I guess.

You could point to anyone and say "That person is one of Clementine's parents" and I'd buy it. Like you could point to a Viking Norwegian dude and I'd just think her mother was some Aboriginal Bushwoman.
She was probably designed to look like a multiracial person. I can just imagine people sitting around a table at Telltale and discussed how to make her as least "black" as possible.
Yes, it doesn't make a difference in the game (and nobody in this thread said that), but it is something interesting to know. Like it or not, it's not racist to identify what race/ethnicity someone is of. I'm caucasian; does that make me racist for stating that? Yes, it doesn't matter what her ethnic background is, but it something interesting to know. I'm curious myself, I cannot really tell either.

Nobody is making a big fuss, it's the people saying "It doesn't matter, just play the game" that are making it a big fuss. Nobody said that it mattered. Everyone here has obviously already played the game. Curiosity is why we are here, and it something interesting to know.
You know, she can possibly be adopted.
Nobody ever said clementine was the birth child, and she looks a bit asian. Though one thing is that… more she does have her mother's hair.
But then it can be something with genes or whatever. But why is this such an issue? Can't we just play the game without making such a big fuss?

I thought this too
I hate this topic, always leading to the same racist comments and arguments from guys like Jabba
Im being serious. Do you think she's supposed to talk hip-hop or something like that?
He's probably from Florida, shit just runs out of his mouth sometimes.
I think Clem is half white half black, but the white is dominant.
Clem parents are clearly both African American

If her father was full, her mother was half-- that would make her 3rd cast.
Yeah, but Kratos is a white character voiced by a black guy, lol
Yo maybe Diane banged a white dude and Clem is their forbidden love child, think about it.
It'll make narrative synergy with Rebecca's slutful shame-baby.
Clem's African-American and Omid's Persian
Does it really matter though.
No, but he/she asked.

obviously one of them is not biologically her parent
"Light skinned African American" That is mixed.
Mixed, most likely; biracial, no.
Black people can be light skinned without being biracial; i.e. one black parent and one parent of another race.
or adopted?
Well I can't speak for others but I don't care if someone in our group is gay or whatever, don't bother me
She's just a light skinned African American people....deal with it.
The dislikes on my post speak for themselves of the attitude of the community.
Er...quarter cast? Maybe, I don't know, I don't think that's a thing
I'm saying she'd be 1/3 mixed with whatever race he's referring to. Or a 1/4, so yeah a quarter cast.
What's racist about what he said?
A genuine question, because I found nothing about his comment offensive.
She's people!

Search your feelings you know it to be true.
