Regarding choice...
I liked the choices for season two, but there wasn't enough choices that leave me torn. There were choices that made me feel like crap, but I didn't spend time thinking about them. I don't mind those kinds of choices but don't make stats for them (IE dog choice: almost everyone chose the same.) make a balance with these choices in the next episode...

Yeah, they really messed up with the dog and the help Christa choice. The only reason to leave the dog is cowardice, but at this point Clem is not too squeamish to end a dogs suffering and she's also not a sociopath who wants it to suffer (she says sorry even if she chooses not to finish him) so it's out of character not to. The Christa choice is a bit more complicated and somewhat justifiable, but clearly most players felt too strongly not to help her.
These were very clear filler and quite disappointing.
TellTale's choices aren't always well balanced, but when you have 3 choices in the overwhelming majority and only one choice being around even (Nick/Pete) it makes you wonder.
Nothing compared to the second half of ep 3, With the Christa or Omid choice. However I think some of the minor choices in this episode was more important, Such as what you said to Rebbecca etc
Like I said, I don't mind those kinds of choices, but don't make stats for them afterword. I hope Telltale takes this into consideration creating the next episode.
"You don't know me!" -clem
I left Sam because he was my enemy... The threat is incapacitated and at this point I need to conserve every ounce of energy / time... As far as the christa thing I helped her the first time but seeing as it turned out badly for everyone the second time I snuck away to try and not alarm the attackers... Also, don't assume that every player's Clem is the same... With some of the dialog choices, Clem can be pretty cold and hardened...
Well, we still have 4 episodes ahead of us. I agree about the balance though....
Well, each episode has a different writer, so maybe the next episode will have much more crucial choices. I agree, almost all five choices that were tracked (besides the last one) were kind of all either "be Clementine/ be a dick". Hopefully next episode the choices feel more like "bad choice/ bad choice". The Walking Dead Season One was known for giving you choices that felt bad no matter what you chose, and felt like it impacted your gameplay. It doesn't seem like it matters whether or not you kill the dog, because it dies anyway. At least in Season One where you either killed the lady or let her suffer, at least it effected the amount of supplies you got from the drugstore.
Yeah, it should have tracked that choice saying "Who threatened Rebecca?". I feel it was more important than whether or not you killed a dying dog.
The choices were horible. Give water to a dying man?! Thee sun uva bitch doesnt even say where Christa is. TTG, get to work on heart breaking choices!!
I feel the choices were subtle but will come with impact. Regarding the water and dog, that can be foreshadowing what kind of person you might become. Will you become someone that's ruthless and let bad things happen to people? (Dog suffering for the bite, denying water because they screwed over her and Christa.) Or will you become someone that still maintains a part of your humanity, showing mercy even when they screw you over. Just like how in Season 5, everything came back to haunt us, I think things are the same here. Like people always say, the smallest details make the biggest difference.
When did she say that?
For all we know, Telltale could reveal the "water bandit" was the same guy who killed Christa, thus making the player regret their decision to show him mercy. That's the kind of sucker-punch I can see them dishing out in episode 2. This is a world where no good deed goes unpunished, even if Clem can refuse to abide by its rules.
So true!
Yeah, the choices in the first episode were pretty easy for the most part. I do hope they get more difficult as things go on. Personally, I expected things like "Did you promise to be Sarah's friend?" "Did you steal the watch?"and "Did you try to feed Sam?" to make it into the stats screen over some of the other choices that were there. I'm especially curious to see the split for the Sarah choice.
I can see those shown in a stats trailer of E1 later on.
But who knows if they're even doing those for season two.
Oh, the choices were difficult, but of a different kind: You knew what choice to make, but going through with the action was hard; all it did was made you feel like crap afterword, because both choices sucked, but one just happened to suck less than the other. Not many choices made me regret my original decision or question my motives, and the only two that did was the "Dying man" choice and "Nick and Pete" choice.
