What happened to the chopper pilot?
In episode 3 season 1,after looted some supplies,you see a helicopter that has been crashed through the building with the zombified pilot attacking you.My question is,how does the chopper crashed to there? did the walkers somehow managed to make it lose control? or did the pilot just suck at his job?

the pilot should notice if it's running low on fuel and will immediately return to base.

Maybe he noticed too late.
Death happened.
He died a death that allowed him to become a walker.
My guess is that one of his squad members was bitten and in an attempt to save him, he was taken on the chopper and the pilot tried to bring him to a medic back at his base. Unlucky for him, the bitten victim died on him, turned and sought chaos on board of the chopper, causing the pilot to lose control and crash.
The pilot lost control of the helicopter and crashed into the drugstore. He was seriously hurt and died from his injuries and turned.

We'd've seen other millitary corpses there in that case. Maybe the pilot himself was bitten, and in the moment of the crash, his co-pilot was launched away from the pharmacy.

He lost control by just being a bad pilot, maybe? Plenty of people die per year of just being shitty at flying stuff.
If he wasn't competent enough to pay attention to how much fuel he had, then he really had no business flying a helicopter.
It's possible that he didn't.
Someone could have easily been bitten on that helicopter, died and turned and attacked the pilot. He could have been out on rescue missions since there were no other military zombies in the area. There was no one to check for infected an he went down.
