What was up with Doug?

edited January 2014 in The Walking Dead

He was a loyal guy, but seriously?

A grown adult wearing a green shirt with a sheep on it, shorts and sandals?

I absolutely loved season I, but the guy seemed quite odd, I'm just saying...

  • Doug was always weird and odd, but I thought he was a really cool and nice guy.

  • I agree.

  • Yeah but Telltale screwed up and people ended up choosing Carley easily because Telltale didn't give enough time to bond with Doug :(

  • He's cool in that sorta "Parents' basement" kind of way.

  • He was only early 20s I would say. What's wrong with a pop culture shirt with socks and sandals?! Doug was awesome and I didn't think he was weird at all just a different taste in fashion. The thing on his top was also a polar bear with antlers, the ultimate predator.

  • They weren't just any sandals. They were open-toed Birkenstocks, worn with socks. Major fashion faux pas and also highly impractical choice of ZA footwear, but great bit of character detail! Total dork, but I felt bad for the guy. He had a shot with Carley, who would've been light years out of his league before the shit hit the fan!

  • If only they'd change it though

  • I think he was just a slightly odd nerd, even he admits it.

    (Lee shows Doug remote)

Lee: " Think you can do anything with this?

Doug: "eh, I used to mess around with that stuff when I was a kid but not much to do with it now... man I miss my robots"

Lee: "...Your a strange guy Doug"

    Doug; "I know"

  • a nerdy guy like him are usually interested in military stuff too,I wish telltale make him the one who carry firearms, instead of that sweet but rather bimboic with battery carley

  • Maybe his feet were cold?

I'd wear socks and sandals if my feet were cold

  • Sandals don't offer much in the way of protection to the cold. Doug was thinking logically as usual. Oh Doug :3

Maybe his feet were cold? I'd wear socks and sandals if my feet were cold

  • He was wearing socks with his sandals. That was all the justification I needed for leaving him.

  • He existed on a higher plane of existence than we can comprehend. That's why he could stand sandals with socks.

  • Maybe his feet were cold? I'd wear socks and sandals if my feet were cold

I quote from my last comment above.

  • He probably has family in Germany. Germans love socks in sandals.

  • I care not. Rules are rules, and I can't bend them for anybody. So he gets thrown to the zombies.

  • Even during the zombie apocalypse?

  • i think the poor guy died a virgin .

  • Doug was actually based on a real person so.

  • As Clementine says; "Doug is cool", you just cannot comprehend his style

  • Yea...

  • So did Ben. But in that case, it's funny.

  • These are rules specifically for the zombie apocalypse. This rule is Rule #46, if you must know.

    Even during the zombie apocalypse?

  • I'd bet you on that, but unfortunately, the zombie apocalypse has not started yet.

Wait, you get your rules from the internet? You'll be dead within a week buster. Rule #306 says that any and all Zombie Apocalypse rules/hints/strategies/and or tips you take directly from the internet are simply traps to get you killed.

No, Rule #46 is "Never trust any government and/or corporate agents claiming 'We're here to help!" http://books.google.com/books?id=gDacrhW

  • Very well then, sir. When the zombie apocalypse DOES begin, after we both die, we'll meet up in the afterlife and see who died first. Anyone else want in on this contest? Take bets?

I'd bet you on that, but unfortunately, the zombie apocalypse has not started yet.
