  • ya, because in a world coming to an end, peoples house pets are still being feed and cared for. Totally not walker bait or since they are "house" pets have no outside surivial skills and will likely starve if a zombie or human doesn't kill it for the scraps of meat on it. Food...is Food.

True. But a butthurt user can also become a troll anytime they choose if they start to feel like they don't have a leg to stand on. My gues

  • It wasn't a real dog, jeez. It's a videogame, how people can get this mad due to a fictional dogs death is beyond me, even though it's a game based on that humans become zombies who kill everything they see, but this is of course no problem, who cares about humans, dogs are so cute so pls don't kill them Telltale! I hope episode 2 is more childfrendly, I mean, it is the targeted audience, right? Picture yourselves in that situation, a dog attacks you under a zombie apocolypse, do you think "Oh go ahaid, I can't hurt you, you are a dog after all. I've survived years under the zombieapocolypse but I'll just let you kill me now"?

Doesn't matter really as OP is an obvious troll.

Children and animals are innocent. Wtf? Wow let's base a whole game on one quick meaningless scene. Get over it. It's just a videogames dude. Get off here while your at it. People don't need or care about your negative comments. Bye now.

Was it the dog's death, or the brutality of it? I sure didn't like it, it was completely unexpected and I had to pause the game until the dog lovers and weak stomachs left the room. Hell, I teared up a little. However, your reaction is, while not as ridiculous as what has happened before my post, a little questionable, as this game and series is known for its brutality and gut-wrenching emotions it brings.

Don't get me wrong, I'm completely with you, I hated the scene. But the main difference between us is that I'm buying Episode 2.

  • who cares man! you should be more worried about people actually abusing a REAL DOG and not some video game dog that doesnt exist. i respect you dont like animal cruelty but getting mad when seeing not actual animals die? haha you people make me laugh.

  • Man all this upset over one scene. Can you imagine what Telltale has up their sleeves for future episodes? I knew something would happen to the dog eventually. Keeping an animal around that would make noise every time it ran into walkers? Bad idea.

  • I thought it made plenty of sense. The dog had been living without humans for a long time and was starving.

All the options for Clementine had her do something that could invoke food-aggression, even if you willingly share the food the dog gets overeager and Clementine tries to take it back to prevent it from eating all of it, which provokes an attack because she is taking away his food.

Many seemingly docile dogs turn quite crazy when you get near them while they are eating and there are actually quite a few kids getting killed every year due to dogs suddenly turning on them because they unknowingly breached their boundaries, like touching their food.

Animals are never malicious like a human might be but the term innocent doesn't really apply either.

  • For me its more the point that everyone is fine with the death of most of the games population, nearly all the charcaters including kids but not some random animal.

Even if its just season 2 these people were happy for your two loyal protecters to get gunned down, fight a maniac until he gets eaten alive and ends up all alone. However just as they killed a dog after it reacted instinctively to you taking its food they riot over it.... I dont get it

  • Thanks god PETA is dead in the zomby apocalypse.

  • Intredasting. This is just the kind of scenes that makes TWD what it is: uncompromised and realistic (in a zombie setting), compared to other franchises with their gratuitous violence and nudity for the heck of it. Emotional reactions were granted, given the fact that a lot of people have pets, especially dogs. I'm curious how they will top this.

BTW: You should probably stay away from the original TWD comics. The game and movie series are romantic love stories compared to those. Well, not quite, but almost.

  • Don't know about you, but the illogicality of it all annoys me. Unless the owners were lax with their training of the dog (which the dog's initial timidness testifies against) then Sam's attack was out-of-the-blue even ifhe was hungry. A proper dog is trained to know the humans eat first and the dog eats later, if at all.

Really, it was simply forced as TT couldn't spare a moments worth to give us two ways to get bitten or even injured on the arm. Had to make all the set-pieces look pretty.

Wait a minute... Set pieces... Little interactivity... Rail roading... My god, The Walking Dead is slowly becoming Call of Duty. Hell, they even put FPS sequences in the first game.

People have been complaining about this scene since this episode came out. Although the scene killed me it was not in vain. The whole idea wit

  • While I agree with your compassion, as I am also a huge animal lover, this specific scene was a pivotal moment in her story. Everything is cruel in the apocalypse. Humans kill other humans for food, shelter, supplies etc and animals (even docile) will do the same. Sam still held onto the loyalty for his owners, he lingered around their camp, probably waiting for them to come back, protecting it. Then, Clem shows up and even though they got along fine, she was able to pet him and play with him without any repercussions. The moment Clem finds food he grew territorial because the camp was his "home", it was his to protect. And in a world where food is scarce, of course he grew greedy. We don't know how long Sam was alone or when his humans died or how long this poor dog was starving. I don't know about you, but, I would have done the same thing as Clem regardless of my love for animals. In this world you either fight or die.

  • The fact that you were so disturbed by that scene proves that it was well done. That was the whole point. Besides, it's a world filled with flesh eating cannibal dead monsters, death is pretty much everywhere. Hell, it's called the Walking DEAD. So it's not disturbing when people attack and kill other people for survival, but it's disturbing when an animal does that out of pure instinct? I understand you did not like that scene, but it's a stupid reason to blame and hate the company behind the product. Just my opinion.

Let me get this straight... you are going to ragequit because your emotions can't handle fictional, animated violence?

Do you understand how pathetic that sounds?

People aren't calling you a troll to try to be mean... they are doing it to be nice. Being a troll, in this situation, would make you more respectable as a person. It's sort of like giving you the benefit of the doubt. That's what I will do, too. I'll just say you're "trolling" as a sign of good will
