  • But nowhere has he acted like a jerk to you! The one instance you stated was after you had told him to screw himself twice. You had also acted like a jerk before that, and the only evidence you had was completely incorrect on multiple levels. Not only was the video fake, but it wasn't a Katana. I think the op was allowed to be slightly sarcastic after you had acted like an asshole for a while back on the basis of something that was completely incorrect.

Why should I apologize when he has been acting like a jerk to me. He has done nothing but treat me like trash so SCREW HIM!

  • No, he's allowed to be sarcastic as you were wrong the entire time while continuously telling him to screw himself and calling him an idiot. You are the monster. All you do on this forum is go around insulting people and making completely incorrect statements. All he has ever done is be polite to you, and even after you were a complete asshole the worst he did was say umm... Apparently saying umm... deserves the death sentence in your mind, right?

That's my point. He thinks hes entitled to be sarcastic because I believe in something. Hes a monster.

Spike, I wanted to thank you for defending me when you clearly didn't have to. I truly appreciate it and can't thank you enough. You went out of your way to prove that I wasn't a complete degenerate. You're a good person and you have my complete respect (if that means anything to you). Thank you spike1. Also I hope you didn't get in trouble because of me.

I don't know what your problem is, but it is certainly not OP who is in the wrong here. You don't have to resort to harassment to prove who is right/wrong in an argument, especially after another Mod asked you all to behave earlier in this very thread.

Thanks Blind, you definitely helped and it seems like she wasn't having a good day. I appreciate you intervening and ending that. Also she wasn't much of a bother, after I realized she couldn't be reasoned with I did my best to ignore her (I think it's a her). Again, thanks Blind.

In my defense I did try to stop as stated in a previous post but ILoveClementine continued to reply to me, even saying that i wasn't replying because I was wrong. I shouldn't have continued though, and if you want to temp ban me(or whatever warning system you have here) then I understand.

What are you talking about? Other than a bad experience or two, this community seems pleasant, especially you. Defending a person you don't even know. That's something only a kind and caring person would do. You're a great member.

  • I done some home work of the crow bar, there are some long ones that go 60 inches, I should had been more detailed but there are some that are made in long length that even can be used for walking sticks. I mention the use for the crowbar to be use for stabbing then over the head whacks, the ideal was for the crowbar to be used to shove the sharp end into the skull of a zombie rather to be bashed over the head. Using this method you are not using to much energy in a fight rather less, point in the matter I was trying to make was that a quick stab into the head is enough to kill a zombie, also I love these debates :D lets do lunch !

Haha, I love posts that are very thoughtful as this one. It truly makes my day. Thank you for taking your time to post this. Sorry about that,

I love a good debate and thanks for the challenge. It will provide me a good opportunity to showcase my debating skills. Now, you're contended that you could use the crowbar as a spear for skewering the brains of zombies. It's true that this is possible, but it is also not a tactic that would be very effective. I stated in my opening argument that crowbars are not balanced for swinging, this is because their center of gravity is near the middle because it is made of a single, solid material and is fairly uniform in shape. This means that while you're holding the hooked end all of the weight of the crowbar is being felt between 7-10 inches beyond the hand. This weight means that more effort needs to be made in order to keep the crowbar leveled for stabbing which tires the user out quickly. Even though a longer crowbar increases your distance to a zombie, it also decreases your accuracy and chances to successfully pierce the eye cavity if you want to penetrate the skull. By the way, lunch sounds great! I'll buy.

  • My weapon would be a Katana because it would probably be the only weapon that would be useful in the zombie apocalypse.

  • No, it's one of the weapons that are useless in a zombie apocalypse because katanas are made to pierce organs, not skulls or bones. Even a simple baseball bat would be a better choice.

  • From a video in a similar discussion somewhere in the previous posts.

Anyway I'd imagine that some, if not all, bladed weapons would end up lodged into a zombie and make it hard to pry out. Blunt weapons is really more practical to use.

  • Not true. You just have to cut the head off or destroy the brain. There are many different way doing so with bladed weapons.

  • A real Katana blade cost 10,000 and up. This some crap he got at the mall LOL.

It's not realistic though, well then again the undead are roaming around so I guess who am I to question the reality in that. Seriously though

  • Takes a lot of strength to wield a hammer, I know from oil rigging in texas. So folks picking hammers and axes better have some good arm strength or you be worn out in 2 swings.

  • Land shark gun from Armed and Dangerous game. Cool weapon for Nate because Nate's cool.

  • Crowbar! If you play Half-Life, you'll get why this is a weapon of choice.

Crowbar naturally, its a weapon and a tool into one, sure you can say you want to use an ax or sword or whatever, the point is, a blade needs

Cannibal carls right, the thing about Katanas, is there's a lot of shit stainless steel abominations out there that look like Katanas but aren't. Michonnes is probably the real thing.

Either way, edged weapons need a lot of maintaining if your using them to slice through skulls. And since destroying the brain stem is the only way to put down a walker, that blade is going to take a lot of damage to it's edge.

Even high quality steel can chip. with prolonged stress.

Plus, people greatly underestimate the skill required to make clean, consistent CUTS, not slices on a moving target that fighting back. It's all about edge alignment and it takes a lot of practice. I got into HEMA a few years ago and yes, someones who's trained can make it look easy, but you have to put the work in. You wouldn't pick up a baseball bat for the first time and expect to hit it out the park. It's no different with combat skills.

Especially WEAPON combat skill, where techniques if not executed properly can be dangerous, even fatal in the case of live steel sharps, to the user.

People also underestimate how exhausting it would be to take on a group much larger than six or seven. A well made, hand crafted in denmark 700's era accurate replica Viking sword like the one I use only weighs 2.2 pounds, but the impact of hitting things with it jars your arm and you can quickly tire unless you put in an hour a day on the post.

I think you'd be better with a blunt weapon, a crowbar, yeah that's perfect, dual use.

I would have to disagree with you there. In the Walking Dead TV show Michonne had her katana for years and it still works.

  • I'd say a Crossbow for silence, A Sig .9mm or a .45 for a side arm, a crowbar with a couple of modifications for hand to hand and a ka bar for last resorts. Maybe a .308 rifleor a shotgun instead of the XBow in some circumstances, such as against other people or clearing buildings.
