Games Telltale should make?

edited January 2014 in The Walking Dead

My ideas:
Grimm- Based off the TV show.
Star Trek- Doesn't Matter
Sherlock- TV show
Doctor Who
Silent Hill

  • Anything, as long as the storytelling is awesome :)

  • I'd like TTG to try and finish the games they're suppose to be making first before they think about doing more stuff, they've taken too much on which is the problem

  • Yeah, I don't think they should take on anything else right now, they already have The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us, Boarderlands, and Game Of Thrones. They should just put any other ideas to the side right now.

  • They already have the fairly tale market, don't need to take on Grimm

  • they haven't taken on too much though

  • I'd beg to differ as evidenced by huge episode delays which didn't happen last year bar the EP 3 fiasco

  • TWD Season 3
    TWD Season 4
    TWD Season 5
    TWD Season 6
    TWD Season 7
    TWD Season 8

  • They shouldn't take anything else on, they've already got a lot.

That being said, I feel like Hell on Wheels would be pretty great if it were adapted as a Telltale game, even if it isn't quite as high profile or well known as some of their other stuff.

  • delays don't matter, it's normally a good sign anyway because then the product is as good as they could make it, hopefully.

  • I'd disagree they do matter especially when you sell something as episodic content, plus the longer the delay goes on the more pressure they will be under and since they take on too much at once their team's resources will be stretched between Wolf Among Us and Walking Dead so they will eventually just rush to get the episodes out rather than suffer further backlash for taking so long

  • So you want them to rush then?

Delays don't matter to me, and they shouldn't to anyone else. It's just a story, and it's going to come out eventually. I agree that three months of TWAU is a little extreme, I'd expect them on a bi-monthly basis (once every two months), but I could wait longer.

  • More The Walking Dead, The Walking Dead, and did i say The Walking Dead?

  • No reread my point if they didn't take on too much at once they would have adequate time to do the episodes in an orderly fashion, but they took too much on which will stretch their resources since it's a small team which will mean the quality of the games will most likely go down sadly

    Breaking Bad

    House of Cards

    Assassin's Creed

Supernatural or Haven or American Horror Story (I haven't watched Haven or American Horror Story but from what I read on Wikipedia it seems like American Horror Story would fit the best out of these three)

  • Yes, but The Walking Dead was originally supposed to come out in October, then November, then December. when it came out in December, it was fantastic, but it was much shorter than the average length of the other episodes. They had a delay AND problems with the episode.

  • TWD S2E1 was 1 1/2- 2 hours TWD S1 episodes were about 2-3 hours. Can't say it was much shorter.

Never even noticed a delay or any problems in the episode.

  • What about a game about the tv show House? I know its not going to happen but I like that show.

  • Aw jeez...

Somehow this thread missed our attention, since it should have been closed much sooner. Sorry about that!

The reason I'm closing it? Nothing nefarious - it's just that we already HAVE a 'Generic Telltale Should Make Thread', and we'd appreciate it if we could avoid having multiple threads based on the same topic.
