Theory :What if the cabin's survivor are bad?

edited January 2014 in The Walking Dead

What if the cabin's survivor are bad? not bad as EVIL want to kill you and Nate bad, just Lawful neutral.

They said that Carver are after them and want something from them after when you eavesdrop on them.

They said that Carver isn't the type of guy who let things flow ,maybe they did something that it would piss him off and they got separated. And maybe isn't bad neither. As you can see from the following evidence:

-The group that got ambushed had Roman with them now let's talk alignment,Roman is True Neutral wanted to kill Stephanie and the guy who was sneaking.Roman doesn't have any common sense, sympathy but smart enough not to mess with bad people. So the group was good. But they got attacked probably good vs. good. And we don't know if Carver's group ambushed them because they are located in the mountain when Luke said they have a 4 or 5 days of walk.

The title of episode 2 :A House Divided, probably you have to choose between two group that will make significant changes of choice in the game (I hope they do that) and the famous I thought you were dead shocking and surprised look we know this guy but this guy who was assumed dead by Clem is good and wouldn't join a bad group.

-Finally, we don't know explicitly know why we went to the mountains but as seen in ep.3 (NOW MAYBE) The only survivor is Rebecca and Clem and as seen in ep.4 Slide we meet a new group so the cabin's survivor aren't our permanent group.

A LONG ONE AND I JUST WROTE WHAT I HAD IN MING

  • Telltale won't make you choose between groups becuz that will make the storys 2 different. You get to make choices but the story is linear either way

  • I don't, Roman's group definitely seems to be bad.
They're the same who attacked Clem and Christa, and if you let Clem get caught, they have no qualms about shooting a defenseless little girl in the head.

  • I disagree. I think Roman and the guys who attacked Christa were from two separate groups. Just because their bodies were found in the same place doesn't mean there were together. Roman hasn't displayed any behavior that makes me think he'd turn into a bandit. His crackdown was a bit strict, but that hardly translates to robbing people or shooting little girls.

  • That would be an awesome thing! Just like in Witcher 2 where you choose at the of Act I and then get two entirely different versions of Act II. But I doubt it will happen, they already have slides for other episodes, and the idea how the story goes, but hope remains for Season 3...

You mean Ming as the Chinese dynasty? Lol, just joking :). Been, playing a lot of EU IV lately O.o

  • If Telltale went for Witcher 2 level decisions, we would be seeing an episode every 5-6 months or so rather than 2 months. 2 Months is already far too long to wait for a short episode, so I'd prefer they just stick with their faux-choices.

  • Yeah, I suppose so :(. But it is still an awesome idea. Much more branching story and you somehow get the feel that choices matter much more. But, even now and then you have to choose which one of the two characters you go for, just like in Season 1 Doug/Carely and Season 2 Pete/Nick.

  • The Witcher 2 varied entire locations and their quests based on an act 1 decision. Choosing between 2 characters who will be used in a similar manner throughout the game doesn't really compare. The Doug/Carley decision required Telltale to write extra dialog and create more animations, but they didn't really change the story as a whole. Even then, Telltale probably chose to kill them off partly to save themselves the extra work.

  • Yeah the illusion of choice, but I don't mind it as long as the story is good and characters are interesting. We need more of these story focused games today, last time I cared so much for the characters and story was way back in Legacy of Kain: Defiance and that was 10 years ago. There are some more modern great examples of course, but Walking Dead comes very near to, at least it surpasses in emotional area. Now if we only had such amazing voice actors.... Simon Templeman... Michael Bell, ahh it would be beyond awesome.
