Glenn & Mark
Anybody else think that instead of Glenn it should have been Mark?
I just think that Glenn was a cool reference, but it would have been better to introduce Mark in the first episode.
Maybe they could have just made it so Mark was local and fast at moving and knew his way around, maybe they could've made it so Mark got out of the Air Force WITH Lily and Larry, as Lily and Mark worked at the same place I think.
Anybody else think this? I personally think the Game should have it's own characters and Glenn was kind of unnecessary.

Yeah I agree, Maybe not even Mark If doug had had Glenns role as well I think more people would have chose him.
Yeah definitely, but I think a big goal with the first episode was perhaps to pull in comic readers and they probably liked the Glenn cameo.
I'll have to second the idea.
Wasn't a huge fan of Glenn's cameo personally, and Mark's redshirt status would have been far less obvious if he was introduced from the start.

The game takes place in the comic universe. The TV show is in its own universe and has nothing to do with the game or comic.
I really liked Mark, even though they added him in just to kill him. Glen's okay, but he obviously doesn't care much about you. I feel that Mark should've been at least introduced at the end of episode one, or in the middle.
You know, this actually sounds like a cool idea. The players would have been more attached to Mark, so that when they finally discover his grisly fate at the hands of the St. Johns, it would be MUCH more personal. Almost as if it had been done to Lilly, or Kenny, or Carley, because Mark would have been with the group from the beginning.
oh well its still cool to think that the walkie talkie that glenn used to save rick from the tank is the same one that clem gave him.
Good point. I think Glenn cared though, he seems to care about everyone he meets if they're decent people
Maybe instead of replacing Glenn, they could've just had Mark there. Glenn would still be the one to go to the motel with Carley and Lee, but Mark would've helped kill all of the zombies outside.
