How did you play your Clementine as? *Possible spoilers*

edited January 2014 in The Walking Dead

Just curious about how each member in this forum had Clementine behave as in Episode 1, or is planning to behave as throughout her story, so I thought I'd create this thread.

To start off, I played Clementine as someone who is beginning to lose her innocence after all the hardship she had to endure without Lee. Throughout Episode 1 she is trying to put on a tough front and prove to everyone that she is not the sweet little girl she once was in Season 1. She kind, but only to those who deserves her kindness, and to those who are cruel to her, she'll turn the other cheek or stand up for herself. After all, she's not about to let people walk over her.

That's about it. Feel free to post your explanation below on how your Clementine behaves in your playthroughs.

    My Clem makes me cry.

  • It is a fucked world out there, and the cabin survivor proved that except for Pete and Luke.

I started as sad Clem struggling through emotions and the hope that Lee put in her but after Omid's death ,That crossed the line.I don't know what happened in these 16 months but it seems that christa lost any hope, and Clem's innocence ,after separation and Sam's betrayal this is were i lost any hope but Luke and Pete proved wrong, what kind of selfless and inconsiderate human leaves a girl to die.So who fucked with Clem must PAY unless they apologize. All of them all my friends except Rebecca.

  • my clem still holds on to her humanity. But she doesn't take shit from people.

  • my clementine is mostly polite and cute but she can kick ass if she have to

  • Simply for variety, I have 2 saves carried over from Season 1. I played a good lee and a bad lee so in my Season 2 saves I have a nice Clem and the other save a bad Clem (or at least less trusting and acts tough at times given). Hopefully we will see some differences like we did based on how you treated Kenny in Season 1. Maybe for example if you don't agree to be friends with Sarah she will become an asshole to you later or another character you treat well or not well like Rebecca for example (although she treats you like crap either way from what we have seen so far at least!)

  • I'm probably the only user here who still tries to play Clem as an innocent little girl. I did not call out Rebecca, I was not rude to anyone, and I politely pleaded with the group to let Clem inside the house.

  • As I said, on one of my saves i play Clem as a nice girl and the other save more tough/less trustful.

  • Nope! Make that two! I still play as the nice, somewhat innocent little girl too :) ...so far.

  • My Clem has some faith in humanity and is nice to others but also mean to people who would do her wrong and blackmails them

  • Well, I played my Clem as a nice and polite girl with still a tiny bit of innocence hanging on. However, there will probably be moments in the future episodes where I might have to stop being so nice all the time.

I play her how she was in Season One to a limit. Even if this require usage of the silence option to keep a desired level of innocence. When I get the chance I will use things like [Sad Eyes] to persuade her out of tight situations. Other than that I only try to pick the dialogues that fit her personallity; reserved, shy, caring, and smart. Basically how she would respond to the questions in Season One. For instance, when everyone picked "Still Not Bitten" to make her sound tough, I went for "Can I please come inside now?", and the thing about Rebecca, I went with "I'm sorry, okay", which in my opinion fit her character. Sames goes to Carlos; "I'm sorry, I didn't know." If all dialogue options don't seem like something she'd say I just stay silent and let the grown ups talk. It's not like they can blame a little girl for not having adult opinions and conversations. I don't want her to fully lose her innocence in Season Two. I think they learned Clementine is not to be underestimated after the ststching scene though. Well, that's my Clementine and how I will work with her character throughout the season. :=)

  • I payed tough can't allow people to think that Clementine is weak. I do tried other options in my next play troughs.

  • I have 3 saves. A bad one, a good one, and my real one where I make choices I believe I would actually make (also the one I play first so I feel the full weight of my decissions).

I try to preserve her humanity and generally be as polite and non-aggressive as possible.

My Clem will always forgive, put others first, and give people the benefit of the doubt unless she's given a reason not to.

She always speaks up when she's able, though, and doesn't use her youth to get her way. She wants to be treated like an adult, because anything less will get everyone else making her decisions for her.

I played Clementine in a similar way to how she was in season 1 but with some more mature decisions when it was needed but i also used a bit of manipulation, I used sad eyes before they put me in the shed and I was friendly to Sarah but only to get the peroxide, When Carlos was speaking to me i told him she need to grow up but i only chose that because of Clem's personal experience of survival, When Rebecca spoke to me i told her Luke invited me to stay because i didn't want to cause any more trouble then i already had as i thought that's what Clem would probably say in that situation, I also accepted Nick's apolgie as it seems sincere and i chose to save him at the river as Pete was bitten and Clem obviously saw and because of Lee's experience it seemed more logical to save someone who wasn't bitten.

  • Was surprised how fast I fitted into clems shoes and how irritated i was at Sarah for her childish behaviour and hating Rebecca (besides the stranger I never hated anyone in season 1) . I try to be nice but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

  • My Clem is kind and honest, but still assertive. I guess a boring one lol but one I like playing.
