Umm. Huh?
Wasn't it innitially clear when you met her?
You see a picture of her parents at her house.
She is half black or more, who cares?
I'm not sure why this should change any real perspective.
Yeah.
I just remembered that.
I just changed my message before you replied.
For a moment I forgot that she was shot in the head.
The mom was a walker at the end.
Other source says: "This led to changing Clementine's race from white to African-American and Hispanic." (wikipedia)
But hey... what role does that really play? It is not important to me at all.
Yeah.

Thank you though.
Given, it is nice to note diversity.
But it's not like Lee is like any Afro American stereotypes, and Omid is not like any Persian stereotypes.
They are just people.
From different ancestors sure, but in the same walks of life.
It shouldn't have to change really anything.
Well Clementines ethnicity is an interesting question on itself. To me she looks like someone with ancestry in Horn of Africa only there you have people who look like that. Other explanation she has a mixed background.

Lee Everett wasn’t Telltale’s first idea for a main character. Originally, Vanaman planned for Clementine to come from a single-parent household where Clementine’s brother took care of her due to her mother not being up for the task. With this idea, Clementine’s brother became the lead, but Vanaman decided a pre-existing relationship would be too much to ask a player to take on in The Walking Dead world. The decision led to them changing Clementine’s race because they wanted her to look like she could potentially be Lee’s daughter.
Its doesn't matter what ethnicity she is. Story wise they wanted people to think that she could be Lee's daughter as seen in this article http… more://www.gameinformer.com/b/features/archive/2012/12/26/creating-clementine.aspx

The term is Hebrew.
Jew is a religion and culture.
Anyone can be a Jew.
People still being ignorant enough to call Jew a race is like when Arabs would say Christian in old times to mean European.
Or when someone would say Islamic when they mean Middle Eastern.
You should say Hebrew.
And yes, she is light-enough/dark-enough to pass as Hebrew.
But she isn't.
In most African countries there are many ethnic mixes.
Spaniards, Greeks, Brits, and Arabians often mixed with Africans in Africa.
In all parts, though particularly notable in Egypt, Morroco, and most of South Africa.

And again, it really does not matter what she is.
I thought she was half asian but I already knew she was african american by the family picture, I just thought her mom was mixed as well and she got most of her looks from her. But then again who cares what race she is? When I played through the game I just wanted to make sure I would do what ever it took to protect her and teach her how to be strong and survive never once did I care what her race was and it wouldn't make a difference what she was anyway it's the story and the characters that I cared about that made this game excellent.

I agree with others. How is this important? Just curious? I actually thought safe was mixed raced, half black and white and I thought from the picture Lee resembled her dad.

The average Jew outside of the Middle East is Slavic and/or Italian.
We even have Persian Jews in Iran.
You don't need to be Hebrew to be Jewish.
And you don't need to be Jewish to be Hebrew.
The first Jews are Hebrew, but you do not need to be Hebrew to be Jewish.
There are Jews of many races throughout the world.
Even in Africa there are Jews.
Jew is culture and religion, not Race.
All Jewish people can have their lineage traced back to Hebrew parent(s) since their religion is based on their people (Hebrews) being their gods chosen people. I should have been more specific. You must be part Hebrew to be a Jew. Thats why they are very easy for athiests to be friends with... if you aren't Hebrew they don't want you

In this perspective you count someone with 0.00000000000001% Hebrew Ethnicity as a Hebrew.
Okay.
I am only 1/8 (12.5%) Sumerian/Ilami, that doesn't technically make me a Sumerian just because my Great Grandpa was.
But, if you count 0.00000000000001% Hebrew Ethnicity as a Hebrew.
Okay.

It makes you partly Sumerian, yes. They must be able to trace their family back to Hebrew peoples in order to be accepted as Jewish. Which most people not already in the religion are unable to do. Again, I used incorrect terms when saying they have to be Hebrew, they have to be partly Hebrew. My point still stands that not everyone can be a Jew.

If someone whom is 0.00000000000001% Hebrew Ethnicity can still be called a Hebrew. Then okay.
I agree that this logic technically agrees with both of our statements.

If they can trace their lineage back that far (unlikely). It doesn't actually agree with both of our statements seeing as still not everyone can be a Jew. Just saying...

Seriously? Dislike? I found the info on Wiki.
who cares about her races ?(btw nothing against you you did good research) but i really dont care about that
...I think most of us already know this. But what Skiiva said; ethnicity doesn't matter at all.
Next time don't use Wikipedia as a source of info. It's far from reliable. The wikia is edited by regular people like you and me.

I don't follow the real importance.
I'm sorry. I just don't see why this is something to start a discussion for.
With all due respect.
No you don´t kill her mom. I think it is the nanny inside the house. ;-)
Yeah.

And about the topic. I'm with you. The race of Clem and/or Lee doesn't really matter.

how can this thread go on without the n-word

"I thought she was a jew" Lol wut?
I- I thought she was a krogan...
My mind is blown...

A Krogan.
What?
She is clearly a Quarian.
Lol
Surly not, her immune system is to good. ^^

True.
This is a difficult call.
But surely not a Krogan.
I'm aware of that, I was just quoting the original post. I just thought it was a random assumption.
I was using 'you' figuratively.
As in people in general. I know you specifically didn't mean that.
No worries.
Not that it matters, but When Lee looked at the picture frame of Clem's parents, they looked like a bi-racial couple to me.
What is this pointless lollygagin?
Her mom is definitely blasian and Clementine got most of her looks from her.

Not everyone can be a Jew. You must be Hebrew to be a Jew. One of few religions where race is a stipulation.
I agree with others. How is this important? Just curious? I actually thought safe was mixed raced, half black and white and I thought from the picture Lee resembled her dad.
She (Clem) was mixed....lol
I'm not sure how you thought that... The photo in her house shows two clearly African American parents... Also, since when the fuck did this matter?

Well this is annoying.
Seeing as everyone is expressing an opinion on this, it clearly appears to matter.
