A question about The Walking Dead, comic and game both. (No spoilers)
I remember recently reading a statement by Robert Kirkman talking about his zombies. He said that they just "keep rotting." While reading this, I was watching an episode of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia in the background, where two of the main characters are tricked into digging up their mother's grave, only to find that she rotted away to a skeleton. I must ask, do you think that the end of The Walking Dead will be that 5 or so years (which the game is almost halfway through) into the apocalypse, there will be so few survivors that the zombie apocalypse becomes more of a zombie irritation, due to the majority of the population dying so early on?

Yes. The zombies would always be a thret but with precausions and the bulk of them dying eventually you would see a somewhat return to normalsy
Eugene discovered the first dying zombie in the comic. It was so weak it couldn't even lift its head to bite him.
I remember that, but I wonder if that was starvation, or freezing?
I guess the main plot then is can the human race survive five years of death and torture without going extinct.
Heh, Kirkman is never gonna end the comic anytime soon.
Starvation
Ah. Alright. It's been a while since I read it. That also proves that the zombies will go away eventually, because out of all of them and so few of the people left, the zombies aren't all gonna get a meal.
He said that the comic was going to be 300 issues long. Take that for what you will.
Not even so much that. On islands on ships even on land some will survive. Only question is will the people we follow and care about make it or not.
