I'll put my David Lynch hat on and say 'maybe the game has released already but time has not apprehend that so we all live under the illusion... aliens.
Ha, that reminds me of how people stayed away from the Bloom and Armorlock threads on the Halo Reach forums when that game came out. So many arguements, and alot of flame, lots of it.
Could you imagine the rage in The Wolf Among Us forum if Telltale released The Walking Dead episode 2 first, I would stay well away from there due to the ragers :P
Nah I don't think so. This is the fifth week so the most it can be delayed and still be on schedule is three more weeks. That's hardly any time at all. I have busy weeks so the week just floats by for me then I check the forums for updates. We'll get something soon, we've already completed most of the potential wait and I doubt a four month wait is coming. It's definitely coming out within a few weeks.
I have a gut feeling we won't see the next episode until March. This 3-4 month thing better not become a habit. Especially if they want Borderlands and GOT out at the end of the year.
since all games from ttg are episodic, that would mean borderlands and G.O.T will NOT be completed this year by the time they even get the basic framework story and plot and voice actors in, the first episode will be released i reckon october/november dec time then that'll be it until 2015 just like we have had with twd and twau last year / this year.
assuming ttg solved the problems for the hold up on twau ep2 then yeah should be at most 2 months.
but of course shit happens.
and vivec if twd s2ep2 was coming out next week they would of said/hinted at it by now...

i wish they make an announcement soon.... i was on a section of this site that ep2 was coming out first week of Feb but i was looking at a different game, got mistaken thought it was walking dead lol.
I think he is saying that because the FAQ says 4 to 6 weeks and the 6th week would be January 28th. That is hardly confirmation though because you know......Telltale has never delayed anything ever....

Well atleast TWAU ep 2 is coming soon so my urges will be pleased until TWD ep 2 comes out. I'd say we'll be able to play ep 2 of TWD around the 20th of January.
I don't see it I think you are trying to link to this?
http://www.videogamesblogger.com/2014/01/07/the-walking-dead-game-season-2-episode-2-r… moreelease-date.htm
Not really reliable though since it doesn't come from Telltale themselves and they can always delay it......
I keep telling you guys, they said it's around Jan 28th. It came from both Skybound and The Walking Dead: The Game page. Check them. They released the news a few hours ago
Actually....my mistake guys. Though Skybound posted the page on its wall, the article did not really show the release date officially. So I can't really say it will come by the 28th. My mistake guys.
I don't think you're listening to him at all. It says 4-6 six weeks, delays not withstanding. If it's delayed (It most likely will) then it's most definitely not coming out in that time period. Also you're not even giving us official statements, that Facebook page isn't even the official page.
As others have pointed out, the long delay between episodes really hurts the overall story that Telltale is trying to tell. When it has been weeks since you last played an episode, it can be very difficult to remember everything that happened. I played Episode 1 of Season 2 about two weeks ago and I can honestly say that things are already getting a little foggy. By the time Episode 2 releases, I'll probably have to replay Episode 1 again just so I can remember all the decisions that I made.
I played all of season 1 in a span of like 3 days and I personally think that's the best way to play these games. Long waits between these episodes totally kills the immersion and honestly becomes a little frustrating. You really get so entrenched with the characters and the story that Telltale is telling that it becomes almost irritating waiting weeks to see how things are going to unfold.
Lol it doesn't help that Telltale pretty much ends every episode on some kind of a cliffhanger moment either....
I disagree. The wait between episodes is good and helps build up tension. Longer-than-intended wait would of course be bad, since if it takes too long things will get foggy as you say.

But yeah just my two cents
If the wait time was reduced to something along the lines of a new episode every two to three weeks tops, I would totally agree with you. However, it really seems like the average wait for an episode is about a month at best...sometimes much longer. IMHO that is just too much time in between episodes. That is a big immersion breaker in a game that revolves around the decisions your character makes.
Let's be honest there's not a lot of replayability going on with these games either. Unless you literally havn't played the series in awhile, there is little reason to go back and replay the game.
I disagree. The wait between episodes is good and helps build up tension. Longer-than-intended wait would of course be bad, since if it takes too long things will get foggy as you say.
I agree with you. It's why I waited until all 5 episodes were available to download and play for Season 1 of "The Walking Dead". I've held out playing Season 2 Episode 1 too. It's the very same reason I DVR my favorite shows versus watching them each and every week. I'm the kind of person that hates "cliffhangers", and want to continue with the story/plot immediately. I "binge" play and watch games and shows.
I share my PSN account with both my Brother and Father too (alternate between deactivating one of their accounts and reactivating the other- thanks Sony for switching from sharing up to 5 consoles to just 1 other), and they both have played and enjoyed Season 2 Ep. 1, so I'm looking forward to playing it myself.

I for one like a little waiting between the episodes, making it feel like I'm following a TV-series. It also builds up tension and allows us to speculate for the upcoming episode. However what iknowjack123 said it shouldn't be longer than a couple of weeks to a month at maximum. I played All That Remains on the release day, and re-played it four times a few days after. Now I haven't played it since then, and my decisions also feels a little foggy. Likewise for The Wolf Among Us. When we're close to the release of A House Divided I have to re-play All That Remains again to get back into the story. I'm gonna start re-playing Faith for The Wolf Among Us as well sometime next week. IMO even AMC have a better release schedule than Telltale at the moment.
I would like someone to explain me the downvotes.
Isn't this supposed to be voted up?Cause' you know....people want the episode to come out as soon as possible.

I have kinda taken it upon myself to inform all you people who believe that Kenny necessarily is dead that the chances are he isn't. On both scenarios where he got lost you didn't actually see him dying, just disappearing out of sight. You don't hear him scream either. The game even stated that he was "lost to the herd" and not killed. Saying that Clem didn't know about Kennys supposed death is a long reach, since I doubt his absence wouldn't have driven Clem to ask Omid or Christa about it during the 1-2 years they've been together. Save files that states that Kenny will be back has also been found. And also: it cannot be Glenn; since he is with Rick and his crew, I don't believe it is Molly; since Clem has no reason to reason to believe she is dead, saying it is the cancer patients doesn't add up since Clem only actually met two of them: Brie (deceased) and Vernon who is possibly dead. Clem doesn't have a reason to believe that he is dead either. Lilly could make sense, since Clem has every reason to believe that she is dead, but I still think it's Ken, since he was a very liked character it would make the most sense (including that there is some evidence pointing at it) that it's him who is going to be back for eo2. So I am 99% sure it's Kenny who will be the person Clem thought was dead.
The difference between AMC and Telltale if that it is harder to make a game than a TV show as you need to do artwork, animations, glitch/bug fix, record voice acting, synchronizing the correct dialogue to the scene, the different outcomes depending on your choice and the long and annoying Sony and Microsoft submission process which takes time (about two weeks) and if something goes wrong they might need to rewrite code which could be hard, They also make changes to the story based on player feedback as the season progresses which also can be time consuming.
Filming with real life actors is far easier because you can direct the actors to do what you want without the worrying about bugs and it fairly easy to retake a scene, They film and edit months in advance and have all the episodes ready for a season premier so it is easy to grantee a release date for all episodes on a season.
I don't want Telltale to rush the game which could ruin it so i think 6 weeks is reasonable but i hope we don't have another TWAU situation.

it can be either Kenny, Lilly, Molly, Vernon, Hershel Greene or Glenn

Well Sunday has passed so we now wait for Tuesday. Do you think that there is a possibility for releasing this week, for example on Friday?

It's been announced that the next episode will arrive by January 28
proof or it didn't happen.
Really, are you Sure?
Where is your proof?
I think he is saying that because the FAQ says 4 to 6 weeks and the 6th week would be January 28th. That is hardly confirmation though because you know......Telltale has never delayed anything ever....
yes! how can u say?
Indeed, but mistakes happen. Still, you would think he would have atleast added a link as proof.
I say best hope is Feb. 1-5 for an on-time game
It gets the point across.
I don't see it I think you are trying to link to this?

We're still thinking January? People on this thread have lead me to believe we're no where near the release date of episode two yet.
End of the January is the end of the projected six week time frame. It's either gonna release then or mid February.
Well, it's finally Tuesday here on the east coast, so I hope TTG announces something today pleeeeasee!

Wiki shows that every other months they release an episode so April, then June, Aug., Oct., then Nov. for PC, PSN, & XBLA
Haha, oh, I mean 20th February of course
