The last season had episode 2 and 3 take two months and last two episodes take one month. Telltale said they want this game done before Summer is over.
They'll have to abandon that mindset if they want to finish both games on time. I imagine they didn't think TWAU would have a four month delay otherwise there's no reason to screw over another of their releases. If that was true anyway, then the smart business decision would be to release TWAU in the last week of January and then release TWD not long after.
Delays are expensive, no company likes doing them.
Just a rumor going about. Nothing legit, but the rumor says something will happen on January 28th. It could be possible as the six weeks have passed since the release of All That Remains by the 28th. And it's a Tuesday. However if it is legit it'll probably be some news, or an announcement. Very unlikely it'd be a release.
I'd be positively surprised if they manage to release the ep2 on 28th. I doubt this is the case however, considering there's been christmas holidays in between.

As much as I want to expect something until Jan 28th, knowing what happen to TWAU, that changed my perspective on their 4-6 weeks released of episodes.

But can you say what they are working on? We can't assume that they're working on the episode 2 of TWAU especially TWD knowing that they've just released episode 1 a week before Holiday.
Kevin explained several things conspired against us, and we do not anticipate it happening again. The unfortunate delay for The Wolf Among Us shouldn't affect The Walking Dead at all.

If anyone does want to try and guess potential release dates i found the best way to try and make a guess is from using websites like these
http://steamdb.info/app/261030/#section_history The steam database updates whenever Telltale makes changes to the files stored on the steam servers which are then downloaded to your computers when they allow it, It can be confusing but any major changes mean they could be working on files which is a good thing.
I also noticed that the Australian classification board http://www.classification.gov.au/ update faster than PEGI and ESRB and publish their ratings well in advance, They published TWAU E2 rating on the 9th of Jan and All that Remains on the 4th of Dec which was 12 days before the release date, That could be a good source of information as it means that Telltale have given them a preview of the game to enable them to rate it which could mean its close to being completed. I would like to point out a quote from @puzzlebox so as not to get peoples hopes up if it does appear on their website too early.
To expedite the release process for an episode, we often send an unfinished version of it to ratings bodies. As long as all the blood and gore and language and stuff is already in there, it's enough for them to give a rating without the product actually being ready for release.
No, they won't. They have a release date, or week, written in stone. It wouldn't hurt anything really if Telltale gave us something about The Walking Dead now.
I don't understand how TT has the balls to let of it's customers hang in limbo. according to the time frame they set it it should be coming soon! So just tell me one way or the other god damn it!

I believe this period between Episode One and Episode Two is perfect to grow a beard. When we finally get the slightest sign of life, I will look like a caveman. Should post a picture on Telltale's twitter with a before and after when we get some news to show how long we have been waiting for some updates.

It's not Vernon
So, now that I know something will happen at 28th of January, I'm even more imaptient.
Goddamn me and my impatience.
Huh? Something is happening the 28th?

Bah! Rumors. Damn it! I almost got my hopes up for some news!

Of course. It's Army Day. In Armenia. January 28.
I think we'll get it in around 1st week of March.. I hope I'm wrong, please make it sooner.
You're aware Telltale worked during the holidays? Well, not at full capacity, but they were at work.

...But can you say they didn't work on The Wolf Among Us, nor The Walking Dead? You assume as much as I do on this one pal.
4 months delay won't happen again, that's for sure. But knowing Telltale, it is INEVITABLE.
Ugggghh, I hate assuming.. TELLTALE give us the episode 2, FAST!
Now there is a statement I can get behind.

If Kevin can calm all the TWAU fans in just one announcement, what do you think he can say to us that can calm us, TWD fans?
It all makes sense now!
I have an dental appointment and an essay that should be done at the 28th, a sign?
I have nothing to do on the 28th. Coincidence? I think not.
That's exactly what the people said for TWAU.
I'm aware. Still, it would most likely had a negative impact on production time.
I volunteered to cover for a co-worker on that day. An omen! 'tis surely coming!
Telltale Gods gave us a sign! Ooooh, mighty Telltale, is that sign a true? Please, let that legend be true!
Spoiler: the game will not be released in January. guaranteed.

Of course it won't, but I believe the news will be given in January. At least I hope and I totally believe in that rumor.

its coming soon
Most of the season 1 episodes went over the 4-6 mark. Not by nearly as much as TWAU, but they were still late.
its coming very soon
