Groups of The Walking Dead

edited January 2014 in The Walking Dead

In season one we had the St. John's group, we had the Save Lots bandits group, we had the cancer survivors group, we had the remnants of the Crawford group, we had Lee's group, and some others.

Season two we have the cabin group so far, with Carvers group and the bandit group soon to come. We have a few theories of other groups like the cult in Ep 4 and Tavia's group from 400 days.

What other possible weird, interesting, or crazy groups do you see coming, how will they enter the story, and how will they affect the story?

  • kenny group i think

  • k The aisan in next on the walking dead is a group

  • I was thinking groups TTG might actually add >-<

  • I was thinking sort of a Mongolian/British empire type group, where they have control over a lot of land and people, but I think Carver's group has already taken that spot.

  • A group that actually has the ZA figured out, interesting. You see Carver as the leader of a big group?

A baby farming group would be interesting.
They abduct woman and children of groups they encounter and kill off the men.
The women are then used as cattle to produce babies to "repopulate the world".
The kids are brainwashed and turned into child soldiers.

I think a group like that could make the St. Johns look like pussycats.

I don't really see a group like that appearing anytime soon though.

  • Wow that would be intense, I don't even see TWD being that dark though, lol. BTW fuck your avatar..... :p

    Two problems:

    • 1) If their main objective is to repopulate the world, why would they kill the men? If they are trying to repopulate the world, why would they kill off people?
    • 2) The apocalypse has only been going for 4-5 years (comics), assuming that all these supposed 'child soldiers' were born after the apocalypse started, they would only be 4-5 years old, at max. 3 year old children being able to wield a gun, melee weapon and avoid walkers? Yeah, no.

  • Most women in this time don't want to be pregnant, it's a threat to their security not to mention the babies and anyone else involved with that group, the men in the groups (that they would kill) would get in the way or try to stop continuous baby making. The second one makes sense, but child soldiers about that age (usually slightly older (about 8+)) already exist. #KillKony and all that. I still don't see TTG even considering this type of scenario though.

  • Yeah, it's doubtful. Although I have seen similar scenarios in sci-fi shows/movies.

As for the avatar, I could change it to a normal Clem, but your comment would turn awkward. So blame yourself :)

    1. As Viva said, it's unlikely that the men ingroups they encounter would go along with their women being turned into cattle.

    2. I was actually talking about the kids they abduct. The kids they breed are for later use. Boys for soldiers, girls for ehm, you know.

  • Christa, Omid, and Clem Clem were a group, even if they were short lived. And the bandits that separated Clem from Christa seemed to be part of a group.

  • Seems like a fair trade to me....

  • True, they were just small enough and short lived I didn't feel the need to add them, but you are correct.

  • We haven't encountered a group consisting of murderers, rapists and pedo-necrophiles. But I don't think we ever will because that'd be bad for Clem.

  • I think every group is a group of murderers at this point :p But yeah, I don't think TTG would try to cross the rape or attempted rape line with Clem, they could and they could probably even do it well but I just don't see them being that dark.

  • I know it's incredibly far-fetched, especially considering TWD, but I'd like to see some sort
of Army or National Guard, et cetera, kind of group. Maybe something like
Fallout's Enclave or even just a simple remnant of a unit, but I would love that.

  • I think they did that in the TV series, although they were wiped out in like 5 minutes. I can definitely see a small military style survival group.
