The chances of her living to an old age and being able to make it back to the Fireflys is very low, if it was going to happen that was the time to do it. Still glad they didn't :P
There is a fan fic which is a Walking Dead Game and Last Of Us crossover. For those who are interested, here are the links:

Don´t want to be a smartass over here, but there IS a date when the apocalypse breaks out. Robert Kirkman stated in an interview that the comic starts in 2003, so it´s late 2004 in the comics now and since the game is canon to the comic, it´s about the same time there now.
Day Z is June 20, 2003 btw, if you count down from the Anna-Corea-tapes.
But now I am being a smartass, so I´ll just stop.
It is no wonder you find 14th year old girl like Ellie sexier (smexier?!) who already entered puberty, rather than Clem who is a 9-year old. You can only find Clem cute, but not sexy.
They both are cool and similar. You care more about Clems Mental Stability and Health cause she's way younger though. Ellie were already introduced with a screwed up Scenario and lived through it. But S2 Clem is going to be more Ellie-like. Now they would make a great Couple for a Crossover Title.
Btw. can't wait for Ellies DLC that shows us more of her Past with her Friend. Hopefully Episode 2 will come along with this.
I enjoyed both, but I think Clementine's character was the stronger of the two. The endearing influence that she and Lee have on each other, teaching her how to survive, the fact that she felt important without a cure subplot, etc.
One advantage The Walking Dead has is who Clementine has to play off of. Ellie has a lot of personality, but she's stuck with an emotionally repressive survivalist for the majority of the game who doesn't want to touch on personal subjects. While I don't think that Joel in himself is a bad character, it's a very different setup than the one we have with Lee.
Ellie actually knew her parents, or at least her mother, who you find out died only a little bit before What's-her-name started to take care of Ellie. Well, maybe not a little bit, but Ellie at least knew her mother.
I won't be coming back in this thread, I'll see to many people hating one of my favorite characters so I'll just say what I did in another thr… moreead and scoot out of here. Ellie and Clem are probably my two favorite characters to date from story games (Spartan John, holla back) so I won't ever pick one as better than the other. Clementine had 9 years with her parents who taught her how to be a good person, how to love, and how to have compassion, etc. She had 9 years to grow before being thrown into the end of the world situation in TWD. Ellie on the other hand never met her parents (or at least doesn't remember them) and she was never taught the important lessons Clem was. She was also born into the world and never saw how it was before the ZA. Both are fantastic characters from different worlds and in different situations, mentally and physically, so I like both of them a lot. Now that being said, if I could only play one game from here on out it would be TTG TWD.
I won't argue that she isn't unique, but her dialogue isn't better written than Clem's and objectively, she is not a better character. That being said, I can definitely see why some people would like her more. Although, I actually thought Joel was a better written character than Ellie, and that the focus was more on him, unlike TWD where the focus was equally on Lee and Clementine.
Also, TT's TWD is a much better written game than The Last of Us as a whole. Last of Us had good characters, but other than that, it does not even begin to compare to TWD.
That is not true Ellie has never lived in a world like us she was born in the apocalypse. Just look at a walkthrough of the game and you will … moreunderstand what an orginial character Ellie really is. Clementine is cute but sorry Ellie is just better in all ways.
Actually, TWD takes place in 2003(Telltale is canon to the comics, and that's when the comics started), and The Last of Us takes place 20 years after the initial outbreak. You can assume that it started in 2013 because it makes reference to Twilight. Ellie sees a movie poster, and Joel says that "a friend"(Sarah) made him see the movie with them, but that it was terrible.
Two of my absolute favorite characters. I would have said Ellie before season 2, episode 1, but I LOVE having the option of playing with a Clementine that stands up for herself and bullies people around to get what she needs. Now... I just don't know. Ah, screw it. Clementine.

This thread is so senseless. If you wrote that thread in a TLOU Community they would prefer Ellie. I prefer Clem more than Ellie because I dont like how Ellie is always swearing for the sake of swearing. But beside that Ellie is cute too.
Actually I was told from the mods (a fairly reliable source) that the devs said it was no longer in canon with the comics. In any case I was just going off the information given to me.

I'm 100% certain that Telltale's is still canon to the comics. However, if they were talking about the specific time when it started, they could be right because even Robert Kirkman says that when it started doesn't matter in TWD. Technically, it isn't even 2007 in the comics, yet according to Kirkman, you could say it was 2014 and still be right, because it doesn't matter.

Thanks, started reading
That doesn't make any more sense than your first attempt
Hmm... Clem or Ellie...
Why not like both?
OOOOOOH MY GOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!

I got you buddy!. Heartfelt yet manly hug
That's only beacuse Ellie is 14 and Clementine is 11(likely) if they were the same age Clementine would win for sure.

As much I like badass Ellie...Clementine all the way.

Clementine is probably my favorite female role ever to exist.
Well, he tried.
Ellie actually knew her parents, or at least her mother, who you find out died only a little bit before What's-her-name started to take care of Ellie. Well, maybe not a little bit, but Ellie at least knew her mother.
Except writing and, marginally, acting.

Umm... They're mushrooms? I... I Don't know.
I love Clem and all but she just doesn't have the sass or bad assery of Ellie. She's catching up though. "Who's baby is it ?"

I don't think so, she was in the army schools long before what's-her-name (Marlene) started taking care of her.
From the information given to me (until your other post) it was impossible to tell when TWD started.
This thread is so senseless. If you wrote that thread in a TLOU Community they would prefer Ellie. I prefer Clem more than Ellie because I dont like how Ellie is always swearing for the sake of swearing. But beside that Ellie is cute too.

Well, I'm confused.
From the note in her backpack, I just assumed that Ellie knew her mother at least a little.
I forget what did the note say? Been a long time since I've played... speaking of which I need to make time to do that.
I dont care about badassery i just care about which one im more attached to and thats clem.

No, I meant that TWD takes place immediately after the Turn, where as The Last of Us skips forward 20 years.
