Surviving unarmed?
After the 16 month skip you can see Clem and Christa lost his weapons,how the hell they are survive even a walker attack without weapons?How much would be different the story if you distract the scavengers and christa shoot them instead of running away.Just seem odd they don't have anything to defend ourselves.

Made enough sense, nice job.
I never gave it much though, but now that it has been brought to my attention that does seem very peculiar... everyone has a gun at this point, even if they are only used in an emergency that seemed like an emergency to me.....

Yeah that didn't make much sense to me. When i first saw the reveal picture I thought "cool, she's been surviving for a while and has a backpack full of survival gear and a weapon, that's pretty realistic" then I played the game and after 16 months they are pretty much unarmed even though they had a pistol and a rifle before the timeskip.

Yeah, Christa had a rifle and Clemmy had the gun before the 16-month time skip. I don't understand what happened to those.
They used evasion mostly. It's not impossible to survive unarmed, you just have to be careful.
The interesting thing about the picture is that the Bite seems to be alot higher and in the game lower on her arm
I assumed that Christa may have been armed, but got taken by surprise. (they had killed a weasel after all)
Wouldn't know how Clem lost her weapon though.
I think that even if they were armed at some point, they eventually lost their weapons. Maybe they run out of ammo and gave up on finding more or simply had to to run and left them behind. They may have lost any melee weapons they had and weren't able to get any new ones. After a while, pretty much anything useful has been taken, so it would probably be hard to find new weapons. I don't know how much time they spent on that forest, but it looked pretty isolated, so I'm guessing that didn't help.
Good point, this was also strange to me. I mean they could have at least had something, a knife, spear, anything. And also the scene where Clem is washed ashore she enters the woods, completely unarmed. At least, that she picked up something a rock, or some heavier stick. Winston's group was much better and more realistically equipped. Winston had a backpack and a spear and that other guy had a gun.
I can understand that, but humans suck at evading, pretty much every other wild animal is much better at that. Besides there are always those surprise attack situations, and you never know when it might happen.
It doesn't matter how good they are at it, it matters if they succeed.
With good stealth and a little luck, they could easily last.

Once again I will repeat People shouldn't put too much emphasis on Screenshots,Trailers and things like that, They are misleading and not accurate at all, Now back to your point it is weird that they weren't armed but if you look back Michelle wasn't armed either so basically if Clem hadn't left her gun there all the chaos at the beginning could have been avoided,Anyone can lose their weapon at a certain point in the apocalypse
No, it was just a rough drawing by the artists with little information (and therefore no real spoilers or risk of spoilers), Chances are they had no idea what the bite was from. I'm guessing the checklist there were given looked something like this:
A bite on her arm
In the woods
She still has her hat
Holding a weapon
Add a damn zombie
Supposing they ran out of ammo or lost their weapons trying to escape a herd? Anything could have happened. One thing is for sure, Clem will get a gun again later you can bet on that.
She'll obviously get a gun. She's badass, but she can't go around chopping zombies with a hatchet like Lee. Not right now at least.
You're right, I think we will see Clem killing zombies in a different way to Lee due to her size etc. I'm expecting lots of gruesome deaths to come!
Yeah. I doubt we'll be using ONLY guns, 'cause that would kinda screw up the whole game mechanics. But she needs a gun more than most, that's for sure. I don't know how they'll do this, but I trust they'll do it right.
