I agree, would make interesting conversation with her later if you caused her injury, and even if you did try to help maybe get some praise from her for being courageous (although with her attitude on survival she would probably reprimand you for putting yourself in harms way).
I probably will play it again anyway, but I generally adjust the volume so that the music and voice levels are higher than the sound effects. … moreI'll play it with all the sound levels at max so I can hear the shot.
Still, I like the idea of even your first choice to help her or not determining if she was shot. If you threw the rock, then whoever fired missed, but if you just snuck away, then she was hit in the leg or something.
Because the cabin group seemed the be scared of him. Remember when Clem woke up and they were all arguing. Someone said, "What if she's working with Carver?" They all seem to be afraid of him, so I think he's going to be the bad guy.
I hope there is more to it than that. I'd like to see a situation where both groups have done terrible things to each other in the name of their survival, perhaps a situation where the only reason we side with the cabin group over Carver's is because we are already with the cabin group?

i have a feeling that as soon as they reveal who the person is that Clem thought was dead, that person will be eaten by a Zombie that fell from a helicopter in the sky.
I'd like it to be more than that as well, but as for why I think he'll be the villain, it's because he was mentioned in a fearful way. I really hope we don't just get a villain like The Governor from the comics, who was basically just a random psychopath. I much prefer villains like The Governor from the TV show, or Negan from the comics. The TV Governor was a very conflicted, broken man, and Negan, while not conflicted, isn't out to kill people. He's trying to actually build a society, and really, All Out War is just a clashing of ideas between The Saviors and the "Allies"(Alexandria(Rick), The Hilltop(Gregory/Jesus/Maggie), The Kingdom(Ezekiel)).
That being said, I don't think I'd want another really forgivable villain like The Stranger, because in the end, he didn't even really feel like a villain. We should at least be able to look at Carver and with some ease say, "Yep, that's the bad guy", but at the same time, he's a bit conflicted, or maybe he has a point.

I wouldn't mind having a situation like a stated up above where there really isn't a bad guy/group, just groups who cannot live together or in close proximity. There isn't hate of, per say, ideals or tactics or even individual people or anything, just past experiences with interworkings between the two groups. It seems like there is always 'the bad guy', like the governor or Negan (never read the comics, just going by hear-say here), so I wouldn't mind a change to the overused concept and make it so both are easily seen as neither right or wrong, but simply clashing (maybe even symbolizing for the fruitless nature of the world they live it?). I'm preoccupied at the moment and not rereading anything I type so I hope this all makes sense! xD

Yeah it makes sense, and what you're talking about seems to be what the comics are building to. At the moment, Negan is still pretty much classified as a "bad guy" because he enters into the comics by killing a major and much beloved character. He also has a massive ego, because the society that he wants to build is basically a monarchy with him and his kin as royalty. His group on top, then they take half the stuff of the group below them. Then that group steals form another, and from another, until eventually, it all evens out.
At the same time, he genuinely doesn't want to kill people, and hates sexual violence with a passion, because of this, you can almost see him as a good people, because he treats his own people fairly well.
I wouldn't be surprised if after Negan, it just becomes harder and harder to classify people as villains, and it will eventually be that they're less villains, and more just enemies of the Allies, with different ideas, but not necessarily bad ideas.
Still, I wouldn't want Carver to be that kind of antagonist in this Season. I'd like him to be a bit more of a conflicted and not entirely evil character, but at the same time, easily recognizable as a bad guy.

Pretty cool. The last part almost made me cry. Great idea and I wouldn't be surprised if TTG makes it that way. IMO it would be much better than Lee dying.
I want to go through what I think each of the slides will be, and I figure I should just use this discussion, rather than create a new one.
… more Episode 2: A House Divided: This slide is interesting, it shows two people at what I assume is a ski resort, one of them is looking through a pair of binoculars, whilst the other is patrolling with a rifle in their arms(I can't really tell if the person in the background is a man or a woman, can anyone else?). In the previews, we see a scene where Clem's group is arguing with another group, and it sounds like the other group think that Clem and the others are bandits or robbers. We don't see anyone from the other group, but what we DO see is that ski resort again. I don't think it's much of a leap to assume that the people on the slide are members of the other group.
As I've said before, I think that Kenny probably joined up with another group, so perhaps he is part of this group. If I'm right, then I b… [view original content]
Again, I haven't seen any of the comics so that made marginal sense to me
I think, the harder it is to see the villian as the villian (with good story behind it) the more difficult problem solving comes, and more options open up. Can they make it work? Can they possibly see eye to eye? What if we do this or they do that? Even when it comes time to off the bad guy like intended you have remorse for them, and a thought at the back of your mind whispering "don't do it!" What I truely want to see TT accomplish is making me feel dreadful for killing Carver, now that would be fantastic story telling.
I think either idea will be fine with me if done right, all I hope is he isn't the boring, super evil villian the cabin folk are painting him as.

I actually said somewhere else that I thought Telltale might eventually break the episode up where the playable character alternates each epis… moreode. Perhaps in Season 3 we'll play as Clem for 3 episodes, and Kenny for 2.
And I get that downvotes mean "I disagree" its the fact that someone is clearly trolling me. And if it isn't that, then what three people have a problem with the word "thanks"?
I can't agree with that zyphon, you might be sympathizing with Negan too much. Negan fucking loves violence. He conducts it all the time for fun. His only real positive aspect is that he hates sexual violence. Which all normal people do anyway, so it's not really that great. While Negan is really far from the govenor level of crazy, he's still way more on the crazy scale than, what Viva La Lee is suggesting. Negan may be more practical about who he kills for fun (only people who cross him, and people who won't surrender what they have if he wants it), but he is still a fucking awful human being, and Viva La Lee is more talking about the idea that Neither of the groups are villains at all, they just can't get along due to group dynamics. If there is conflict, it is likely very tragic regardless of the outcome, and almost entirely wasteful and pointless.

Lucille is a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire that Negan speaks too.
"Negan is happy seeing all the destruction and chaos and admits to Lucille that "my dick's so hard right now... I should wrap it in barbed wire and call it 'Lucille II'." He asks Lucille if seeing him use the grenades makes her jealous of not being inside to take part in all the mayhem and wishes that he was inside as well watching them all burn." ('them' being another group of survivors who defied Negan's rule.)
Negan's pretty clearly a villainous (not to mention batshit crazy) dude, and really clearly the bad guy of that story.
What I and Viva want is an antagonist who is no morally better ( only slightly better or worse) than our own group. Makes the struggle all the more terrible when you are killing other normal human beings in a desperate situation.

Alright seems me and you are on the same page... so a good question might be: how do we get a sneak peek of Carver's group (and therefore see the inner workings of the other group) without actually joining them?

I'd like to see that villain as well, but maybe not in Season 2. We've still got quite a few bad guys to kill before we get to the bad guys who aren't bad guys. I mean, think about it, the comics have been going for 10 years, and they're only just getting to the point of a non-villain through Negan(and even than, yeah, Negan is crazy). They had Shane, the prisoners, The Governor, The Hunters, and then Negan.
Maybe in Season 3, Kenny, Clementine, and the rest of the group will meet a villain that's more neutral than truly evil or crazy.

Perhaps I shouldn't have said that he doesn't want to kill people, and said that he doesn't... Well...
Multiple times he could've kill Rick, Carl, or anyone else, but didn't because he has a purpose for them. Trust me, I'm not sympathizing with the guy, I get that he is clearly bat shit crazy, but to his own people, he probably doesn't seem all that bad. He's a villain, but he's not completely insane. Evil? Yeah, probably, but I guess all of the innocents within his group just figure that having an evil man as their leader is okay, because the guys seems more than capable of protecting them. Unlike The Governor.
Fact is, right now, he's the closest thing to a "non-villain".
Also, Negan has his own fan club, and many letters of support towards him in every Letter Hacks, so there are actually people who do like the guy.

So what I'm seeing here is you want a villian who is just like the villians in all other aspects of the media of the walking dead instead of going for a less touched on form of antagonist?

Not at all, I'm just saying I don't want another completely forgivable villain just yet. We already had that with The Stranger.
How I'd like Carver to be is that perhaps he and his people were part of the cabin group. He(or one of his people) had an affair with Rebecca, which would explain the baby, and then he eventually did something that the rest of the group didn't agree with. He kept making decisions that were maybe more morally questionable, unable Carver decided to kick him and some of his more loyal supporters out of the group. He made his own group of perhaps more morally questionable people(or at least, people with a more 'survivalist' attitude'). Eventually, things were done by both sides that caused them to become enemies. Over the course of the Season, we find out more about Carver, and realize that at first, it was just a difference of ideas, and maybe even that Clem's new group "drew first blood" as it were, but eventually, Carver decides that he wants them all dead. Maybe the thing that leads to war is, like I said earlier, he tries to kidnap Rebecca so that he can keep his baby. Not really unreasonable in some eyes, but after a rescue mission launched by Clem's group, it eventually leads to war.
That would be nice, not a complete non-villain, but not someone that's just a copied over character form another Walking Dead Series. Agreed?
So what I'm seeing here is you want a villian who is just like the villians in all other aspects of the media of the walking dead instead of going for a less touched on form of antagonist?
Let me clarify, I think you are both could be right, but Zyphos is only wrong about how he represented Negan, and how he interpreted your point Viva.
(To Zyphos, I should probably have made that more clear, my bad, but try to describe characters using their traits, not other characters, because character traits can be subjective, and you can get into arguments with scrubs like me which derail the thread over what the characters are 'Really' like. EG Negan. I think he is a complete fucking monster, you obviously have more of a sympathetic view.) [but yeah back to the topic]
To your question Viva: I think Carver is antagonistic in some way. He is probably Steve, and the Cabin group don't just dislike him, they outright fear him. This implies he is pretty crazy. Maybe his people below him are pretty normal, they are just afraid of Steve, and they could also be afraid of going without Steve (he did keep them alive) which would lead to the interesting situation which you spoke of.
It could be also true that Steve truly believes he has to do these (murdering other people for their stuff, lucky 7) things in order to protect his group.
A sneak peek? So without Carvers group capturing Clem's group/them meeting first? Probably only through dialogue with the other Cabin survivors, until Carvers group catches up.
Alright seems me and you are on the same page... so a good question might be: how do we get a sneak peek of Carver's group (and therefore see the inner workings of the other group) without actually joining them?
Yeah I just realized as I was typing my last reply that you just misrepresented what you thought, sorry didn't catch on until now. I'll wait to see what he thinks, but I think what Viva meant was that he wanted/thought would happen would be that the groups are more both pretty normal/neutral. I think Carvers being Steve (and hence Crazy as fuck, but protects his group if they don't disobey him) is highly likely.
EDIT: Shit I'm bad in this thread, the way I typed my thoughts it looked like I was flip flopping all over the place. Consider this my imperial truth. Scrolling up through my own posts and its just like:

Ahh see I don't see the stranger and the proposed antagonist as the same. The proposed antagonist (Carver/Carver's group) are mentally stable, the stranger was obviously beyong reality. The stranger wasn't a forgivable villian just because he lost his sanity (to me at least); and in fact I didn't care much for his character at all.
I do like your idea, it is a very well thought out theory and makes total sense and would make for a fantastic story, I would just like to see TWD be very pioneering with their story and to my knowledge there are very, very few (if any) instances where the antagonist is as innocent as the protagonist. (Unless you look to media where the bad guy is the protagonist.)
I agree your idea of Carver isn't simply a copy of other characters from TWD, perhaps I was a little exaggerative with my previous post

Ahh see I don't see Russel's group being the cabin group. The theory makes sense, I just don't see Alvin and even Carlos doing those things (where is Sarah when these things are happening, Carlos wouldn't bring his precious child to see them and I doubt he would leave her behind), also it seems pretty plot convenient.

I got in an argument on another thread, ClemClemForever and Cactus_Sauce were on my side. We all basically were saying the same things. I've got almost as many dislikes as the other guy, but neither of them have any.

Gravatar is how you get your own Avatar on sites like this. You make an avatar on Gravatar, and then in 10 minutes or so, the avatar appears on all websites that use gravatar. Or in my case, it doesn't.
Also, my next theory will be here pretty soon, but I want to gather up some images first, and imgur is also not working with me right now.
Since Telltale clearly will do more Seasons past this current one, I think I should share my thoughts on how the evolution of certain characters over the next few Seasons will work.
Clementine: Clementine, in Season One, was a shy, imaginative, and extremely resourceful little girl. She was the character that our main protagonist, Lee Everett, was trying to protect, over the course of the Season, she and Lee developed a Father-Daughter bond. Throughout the whole Season, she was still mainly the same innocent little girl from the beginning, but as it went on, Lee taught her how to survive. I'm fairly certain that all of this know this already. By the end, she was forced to either kill or leave Lee, and was left with only Christa and Omid, people she'd only known for a few days, with everyone else having died, or gone missing. Between the 8 to 9 month period of being alone with Omid and Christa, I think that she became more shy and introverted, while not necessarily falling into a state of depression. After Omid's death, she was alone with Christa for another 16 months. Over this period of time is when I think Clementine became a little more hardened and cold.
That was all basically just a "review" I suppose of the evolution of her character so far, now onto the theory/prediction part. Of course, with Clementine as our protagonist, much of her attitude and personality will be determined by our choices, and also our choices as Lee in Season One. We'll have the choice if Clementine a character more focused on humanity and morality, or survival and pragmatism. There are other characters of course, who will play a big role in this. Since I can't speak much of what Clem will do, since it's all determinant, I'll talk about how I think other characters will interact with her in this Season, and how her personality will be determined with who she chooses to interact with. Let's start with Kenny. Kenny, through the course of the Season, will probably act as a close friend for clementine, and if she chooses, maybe even more like a family member than a friend. He, through his own experiences, will want her to try and she the best in people. Kenny will be broken, full of regret for everything that's happened. He won't be the same gung ho pragmatic man we met in Season 1(not to say he was entirely pragmatic in S1, but some of his decisions definitely were). By choosing the be more "moral", Clem will be closer to Kenny. Lilly will most likely act as the opposite of Kenny. She'll want Clementine to learn how to protect herself(which Kenny will still want, but perhaps not put as much focus on, in fact, I see many arguments between Kenny and lilly about this), and Lilly will act as the main pragmatist character in the Season. By choosing to not trust people, not give people the benefit of the doubt, Clem will be closer to Lilly. Christa will be Christa when she first returns, and there isn't much to say about that, but in calm moments after Episode 3, I think Christa will probably be the one caring for Rebecca's baby. This will make her a bit more of a motherly and gentle character, whilst still being a little cynical. Christa was Clementine's guardian for two years, but I don't think she ever viewed Clementine as a little girl who needed to be protected in that time. Maybe she'll be a bit more like that now. As for everyone else, i'll split them into two categories. Moral or Pragmatic. By being either more moral or pragmatic, I think these are the characters that Clementine will be closer to.
Moral: Luke, Alvin, Pete(?)
Pragmatic: Nick, Carlos(?)
Everyone else will either never like Clem(Rebecca), or will like her no matter what(Sarah).
Okay, I'm finished with Season 2, and onto future Seasons. i'll probably be a bit more vague as we know nothing of these future Seasons, but at least I'll get to talk about Clementine a bit more. In Season 3, as I said previously, I think the group will make it to Wellington, or at least some kind of safe zone with other people. Based on your decisions in Seasons One and Two, Clem will act differently.
If both Lee and Clem were very pragmatic survivalist characters, then she'll view the safe zone as a bit of a facade. People putting off the inevitable. for TV Show viewers, think about woodbury when it was first shown. A happy land of barbeques and no danger. Andrea liked it, thought of it as a place to rebuild civilization, Michonne viewed it as an illusion. For comic readers, think of Carl and Sophia in Alexandria. Carl thought that everyone was being dumb, thinking that a safe zone could possibly work, Sophia went to school, went trick-or-treating on Halloween, and was a kid again. Another thing about this Clementine in Season 3 is that I think she'll thrive at the chance to do something. When problems start happening in the safe zone, Clementine will want to help fix them, will want to get out there and survive again.
The other Clem, the more moral Clem(or at least, the less pragmatic Clem), will love the safe zone. She'll act like a kid again, and maybe act like S1 Clem again. That being said, she definitely won't be helpless again, she'll still know how to survive, but she won't be completely adverse to the idea of a safe zone, a place where they could live, and rebuild society again.
Beyond Season 3, Clementine will continue to follow these paths, being a vastly different character depending on your choices, but as for her place in the story? I think that as she grows up, she'll be a valuable member of whatever community or group they eventually end up building, even if they leave the safe zone. The character that I think she'll be most like is Andrea from the Comics, or if you don't read the comics then... Well, there's no character that I could compare her to in the TV show. I don't think she'll be exactly like any other character, but she will eventually grow and, and learn to survive in this world.
Also, awesome fan-art of an older Clementine
Kenny: Again, let's have a look at Kenny's character so far. When we first meet Kenny, he is entirely focused on his family and their safety, and seems to be willing to do anything for them. He also appears to be a fairly 'moral' character as shown when he argues with Lilly over helping Ben and the injured person. Later on, he shows that he can be very pragmatic when it comes to protecting his family, or other members of the group(smashing Larry's head in, leaving Beatrice). After his family's death, Kenny becomes broken and falls into deep depression, but still tries to lead the group. Throughout the rest of the game, he either is more pragmatic if he does not have Lee as a friend, but with Lee as a friend, he does seem to be a more moral person. Either way, he regrets to horrible things he's done, and eventually sacrifices himself, either to save someone who is essentially a stranger, or to try and save the man who he felt was responsible for his family's death.
As I said before in the first post, I imagine Kenny walking around, broken and alone for several months, until meeting a group of people wanting to head north. He wouldn't be the leader of this group, just a fairly valuable member of the group given his scavenging skills(the only thing he seemed to excel at besides being the leader). He'd eventually meet Clementine, and join her and her new group. At this point, the current Season would focus on him being a close friend to Clementine, and also on him regretting all the things that he's done. He'd want to be a better man, and eventually, would become the leader of the group. I'm not saying he'd act as a moral compass, but he'd be more like Rick than Shane(TV Show comparison).
In the next Season and perhaps beyond it, he'd be another valuable member of the group. I do feel like he'd still be more in a leader type position, while not being the leader. Maybe he'd organize guard schedules or something. He'd still be one of the more important characters, and in debates, would almost always opt for the moral option, occasionally showing glimpses of S1 Kenny, doing something more pragmatic. His character would do a total 180, but he would be very different. If Kenny does not become equally important as Clementine, then he will eventually die in the next Season, or maybe the one after it. However, if Kenny were to eventually be as important as Clementine, then things would be very different.
Having Clementine and Kenny sharing the spotlight would be interesting, as both characters have a lot of potential. Kenny is a man who's lost everything, and given this situation, that means he would have eventually come to terms with this, and would work for the good of the group, either as a leader or someone in a position of authority. We'd make decisions as Kenny in Season 4, maybe in Season 3(I'm not sure about S3, but S4 might be likely). As Kenny in Season 4 if we get that, we'd make decisions about trying to protect the group by making more pragmatic decisions, or maybe trying to still keep the groups humanity intact.
I think that this character will last quite a while with a very interesting storyline for us to follow.
Bonnie: I'll be brief with this character, and before anyone asks, the reason I'm focusing on her is because she is the only 400 Days character who went with Tavia no matter what. So, more review! Based on her 400 Days story, we can guess that Bonnie was a drug addict before finding Leland and Dee, addicted to heroin(I think). Bonnie as well seems to be a more moral character, and seems to enjoy the company of people. If she survives past 400 Days, then I think she'll also be a valuable member of the group, and be a fairly important character. Her happy and trusting personality might change as more seasons go by, but I think that her focus will always be on what is right.
Eddie: Eddie is basically the male counterpart of Bonnie except that he says more ridiculous funny stuff. I think that one or the other will survive past Season 2, and I think that their character evolution is that one of them will be the focus on morality. In TWD, the moral compass of the group is always some wise old guy. Maybe in Telltale's it will be a hilarious drug addict/former addict?
Sarah: These things are getting shorter as I keep going with smaller and more minor character, but I think Sarah could be important. First off, Sarah will probably be Clementine's friend, and will act as the "Duck" in S2. A theme throughout will be Carlos not wanting her to have to face the world. Eventually, she'll be forced to will Carlos' death, and will be traumatized by this. In this way, she will be Telltale's "Allen". for those who don't know, Allen was a character in the comics who, after the death of someone close to him, just kind of shut down.
Those are all the character I think are worth focusing on. As always, I can't wait to see what you think, if you agree, disagree, or have theories of your own.
The thing is Viva, Carver is not the nick name of a sane or good man. Sane badass leaders tend to get nicknames like 'Hero' or 'Sheriff', or they just call him by his ordinary name. Carver could mean a variety of things, all of them bad. This rule is hardly concrete evidence, but you see what his name implies. But yeah, Russel describes his old group, and it sounds remarkably like the Cabin group (a teacher (Alvin seems like a teacher to me) and his wife, a doctor and his young daughter, a cop that nobody believed). The implication was, the incompetent who pretended to be a cop gets bitten, Nicks mum gets bitten because they try to treat him instead of putting him down. When you count the numbers, it makes sense that their group met up at the Cabin, Carver told them to kill the others, and they kicked Steve/Carver out instead. Basically, Carver is Steve, and Steve will either be a more malicious brand of Nate crazy (really crazy, some of the time) or Negan crazy (pretty crazy, all of the time). Point is, Steve is more than likely Carver, and Steve is a evil crazy asshole, similar on a scale of evil and indifference to human suffering as Negan.
(off topic)
Although, come to think of it I'm pretty sure a badass like Clem wouldn't do too bad in Negans crew if Clem didn't have those silly morals of hers. The funny thing is, Negan has this weird kind of immense respect for competent child soldiers.
Ahh see I don't see the stranger and the proposed antagonist as the same. The proposed antagonist (Carver/Carver's group) are mentally stable,… more the stranger was obviously beyong reality.
Comments
If there actually is no appearance of kenny i will be quite upset.... Come on hes Kenny remember Dem Feels in season 1!
He will return, he's to big of a character to just be dead and buried. He's going to come back alive, dead or a walker (Hopefully alive).
I agree, would make interesting conversation with her later if you caused her injury, and even if you did try to help maybe get some praise from her for being courageous (although with her attitude on survival she would probably reprimand you for putting yourself in harms way).
May be he is the real father?
May be he was leader of the group before and the father, and left group?
Could be. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
That would just be ridiculous.
Thanks. i'm not sure that it would be sadder than Lee dying, but I think that it would be a pretty good end to the Season.
Just don't count the first 5 dislikes? I think that is a pretty decent way to deal with it. (inb4 all trolls start using 5 accounts at once)
EDIT: The more you talk about it the more the troll has interest in disliking all your stuff if he is targeting you. Ignore minor trolls to dispose of them, report major trolls (EG that child porn posting fucknugget) to dispose of them. I know your feels though man, targeting trolling sucks.
^ Exactly.
Accounting for the troll barrier, technically Zyphon has negative 3 dislikes. Aww yeah.
Agreed?

Read this, my mind has changed a bit.

(Unless you look to media where the bad guy is the protagonist.)
I agree your idea of Carver isn't simply a copy of other characters from TWD, perhaps I was a little exaggerative with my previous post
You're doing better than you think you are.
Ahahaha I just laughed so hard xD
You have no idea how hard I'm trying to hold back the pure rage flowing through my veins.
I got in an argument on another thread, ClemClemForever and Cactus_Sauce were on my side. We all basically were saying the same things. I've got almost as many dislikes as the other guy, but neither of them have any.
.......................................................................................................................................................................................................................
I need to vent my rage somehow before I just blow up on... Well, at this point, anyone. Though most likely that Porter alt account for Shaundi or that Jabba guy.
On a none, "(possibly)violent rage" note, I'm going to post another big theory/prediction in the morning, talking about how I think the evolution of certain characters will play out over the next couple of Seasons. Specifically, Clementine, Kenny, Bonnie/Eddie, Sarah, and also I might touch on the fate of Luke or maybe Lilly.
I won't do it now because in my timezone, it's almost midnight. I've got to get some sleep.
Take my like, and don't sweat the dislikes. The more the trolls see you upset the more they attack, it's like a shark feeding frenzy. Don't even look at the dislike section, I don't
Can't wait till you post it!
If I miss it make sure to send me a response on another thread and send me the link!
Thanks, I'm a bit more calm now. I just had a shitty day yesterday on top of all the trolling. Also gravatar. Gravatar sucks.
This whole trolling thing is driving everybody nuts,I hope we can get rid of whoever is doing it soon
Good to hear. What is gravatar? And when are you posting your next theory thread?

Or... Anywhere for that matter.

I'll link this again.
