  • Does anyone know what the price will be like 4,99 ish? I didn't buy the pack

  • ya im thinking it might be between the 2nd and 5th as well. :P

my best bet is that they will release ep 2 on 20-25 february

  • They just posted something on the Facebook page:

"Episode two would tentatively be released in the middle of February, after the release of the episode two of The Wolf Among Us."

  • Realistically nor do I, although I lost all faith in telltale to stand by their actually word (4-6 weeks) I would assume it comes out in mid to late February. However, I would not be shocked nor disappointed if it came out in March. I have come to expect disappointment from telltale that it is not even worth it anymore.

I don't see episode 2 coming out on march. 11th February or 18th February is more likely

Edit: That is a fan made page. I just realized, so that info is not from TTG

  • Well 99 people like this page so i guess it's not really trustworthy. But I'm happy if it happens because it's just after my holidays finish

And here I was already filled with false hope, that they'd decided on the release date. Nuts.

    :(

  • I'd say late February or early March.

  • they should just come out with episodes every 2-4 weeks upon release. that way everyone knows exactly when the episodes will be coming out.

  • Like i said in this comment yesterday

    http://www.telltalegames.com/community/discussion/comment/949078#Comment_949078

Now go to Telltale's youtube account and check the comments in their TWAU ep2 trailer. Everybody is talking about TWD. That's the reason they wont say anything about TWDep2 until they release TWAU ep2.

  • I can feel it... The waiting is... Making me a walker D:

  • Unsticky a thread so more people see it you say? interesting, using reverse psychology on them I see...

It was always on my "main page", right on top. Where all the other stickied items were.

  • It's part of the crappy forum layout that the mods've complained about. When a thread is stickied, you can't actually see if it's been updated in the main menu part of the forum.

Why CAN'T Telltale release TWAU2 and TWD2.2 in the same week? Pardon my ignorance, but is there some kind of business strategy at work here? Does Telltale prefer to release one episode and allow it to simmer for a month or so before releasing the next instalment of another series? Or is it really just a matter of "not being ready?"

    Normally I wouldn't ask, but the three-month hiatus between TWAU1 and 2 has me very worried...and I don't think I'm alone.

Because no one cares about TWAU so everyone would go buy TWD's episodes and forget about TWAU.

  • Episode 2 of TWD will probably be released mid-february, so you haven't got much to worry about. I hope that the trailer will be released within the next couple of days.

  • I bet a trailer will come out not long after TWAU ep.2 is out.

  • It doesn't show up on the main forum page though, due to a bug in the forum software. Since there are people who just click on the links to topics instead of clicking on the link to The Walking Dead subforum, I unstickied this thread so those people would be able to see the topic too.

TWD came out in december right so we should hopefully be seeing it next month crossing my fingers on this.

  • They released TWAU a month or so before TWD, of course they aren't going to release it on the same date.

  • I'm more excited for TWAU actually. Season 2 of TWD has yet to appeal to me.

  • Their whole schedule was thrown out of whack when TWAU ep. 2 was delayed. Saying "of course they aren't going to release it on the same date" is a tad overconfident.

  • I think the holiday season screwed up the schedule of both WD S2 and TWAU episode 2. Now that's it's almost February, I think the release dates should be more manageable and closer together.

  • They probably are but since TWAU is coming out, they probably delayed the date.

    I like that...

    sftp backup

  • They cant release both as it would be mayhem. If they get TWD episode 2 out before the end of Feb they will be getting back on track

  • As far as we know, The Walking Dead hasn't been affected by TWAU delay.

They are going to release and promote The Wolf Among Us episode 2 before releasing or promoting The Walking Dead episode 2 as it could lead to more sales which means more money for Telltale, Due to the popularity of TWD releasing any information before the release of TWAU will overshadow it and could cause a loss in sales as people would wait for TWD rather than buying TWAU to play while they wait for TWD episode 2.

Maybe after a week or two they will start to promote episode 2 of The Walking Dead.

  • Because think of the servers! First they get bombed with "OH MY GOD BLUEBEARD IS-" and "OH MY GOD THAT THING THAT JUST HAPPENED!" then later that week they get bombed with "I TOLD YOU IT WAS THAT PERSON I WANTED IT TO BE!" or "IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE PERSON I WANTED IT TO BE!".

There simply would be too much hype concentrated on one forum. Moderator hell, anyone?

I say this with the utmost respect to any "community manager/moderator" out there - Companies rarely, if ever, make decisions based on the comfort level of the forum team. And if you're a good mod/CM you can handle anything your company and/or the users will throw at you.

At the end of the day, its about how much it monetizes and how strategic it is to put it out there during period "X" or "Y" - and that is fine by me as a player, the good thing about gaming companies is that they actually have to produce good content in order to keep their users hooked. S2 of Walking Dead has enormous shoes to fill in my opinion, so with bit of patience towards TTG's release dates, I am sure we will not end up disappointed. But then again, I am quite new to TTG, however my gaming experience has been quite good.

Every company has different policies in regards to release dates - Have any of the older users here noticed any patterns? Have they ever released two different games simultaneously?

  • Hmm.. I really made that as a joke but appreciate the reasonable comment anyway.

I think their policy right now seems to be "No solid release dates". Not necessarily something I appreciate, but something I can understand. I think there was that one time they released two games at the same time, but I don't really know since I am pretty new myself. Nonetheless I don't think they only have just one dev team but, by this point, 2 or perhaps 3 depending on how hard they're working on that Borderlands game.

I would like someone to explain me the downvotes. Isn't this supposed to be voted up?Cause' you know....people want the episode to come out as soon as possible.

  • To be honest I think we have waited too long. Come on Telltale, we are dying here!
