Clementine Calling characters out on their sh*t.

Playing as Clementine in season 2 can give us the opportunity to call a lot of season one (and two) characters out on what we or Clementine perceive to be shitty decisions on their part.

What are some of the decisions you want to confront the characters about?

I for one:

Lilly: I want to confront her about murdering Carley. I also want to confront her about murdering doug, and attempting to murder Ben, depending on my play through.

As much as I like Kenny, I would like the opportunity for Clem to ask him about why he Killed Larry in the meat locker. Clementine saw a dudes head get crushed in, thats a lot of shit for a kid to see and not talk to anyone about it. On a less 'bullshit' note, I want Clem to ask him what happened to Ben (Ben got mercy killed by Kenny in my play through).

I want Clementine to confront Vernon about the boat, and leaving Lee's group and Clementine to die. He literally knew that that wave of walkers was rolling into town, said nothing about it, made an absolutely feeble attempt to take Clementine with him (Vernon basically lies about it if Lee says yes), then left the 9 year old child (her birthday was 5 days ago) and her caretakers to die.

I want Clem to Tell Kenny or Lilly (or Both!) in season 2 that the cabin group locked Clem in a shed to die so that they could potentially save resources, and that Clem had to self surgery to survive.

I want Clementine to be able to confront Christa about what happened and actually talk about Omid's death.

And most of all, I want Clementine to blow up on Rebecca the way that Ben blew up on Kenny in episode 4. It would be amazing for a minute long sequence where Clem just calls her out on her shit, That would be amazingly satisfying.

What do you guys think? What are some confrontations you want in season 2?

Comments

  • More literally I suppose, I'd love to have many more scenes where Clementine gets to call people out on their Shi-"Swear!"

  • Yeah, all the choices in season 1 can't just be forgotten about, they need to be brought back up and the only way that is possible is for the remaining characters from season 1 to come back. That means Kenny, Lilly and Christa. Without those most of the choices were pretty much pointless as they were the only ones who witnessed them ( Kenny especially considering you were with him through most the game and were with him at all the big choices).

  • Another golden egg: I'd love to have Clementine call Nate out on his bullshit, and actually cause a change in him. He is susceptible at least a bit to the opinions of young people (EG Russel), due to having issues over his dead friend that Eddie shot.

  • Clementine can't talk to Vernon because Capital V's dead, bro.

  • Aww, look at that face! lol

  • implying Kenny did anything wrong by killing Larry

  • I like your post OP! I hope they are all covered in S2 as well. I hope Lilly and Kenny do return! Imagine both of them at each other's throats again!

  • This actually sounds awesome, OP. I'd love to be able to have Clem just explode on someone and yell at them about whatever it was they'd done (Kenny killing Larry/Lilly killing Carley or Doug/Being locked in the shed are all good ones).

  • I want Clem to stumble a cross TT developer and ask him 'Hey! Why my episodes take so long time to come out? My fans are super mad.'

While I'll probably attempt to avoid conflict where I can, "And you left me out here to die!" is still one of the best lines of season 2.

Though I like the idea of seeing how an old friend would react to your new group driving you to sew up your own arm, along with some form of reconciliation with Christa.

This. I so hope this happens. I also hope we get the same opportunity with Carlos too.

  • They never say 'dead' in 400 Days, they just say 'lost'. Vernon could still be out there.

I agreed with what Kenny did when I saw it through Lee's perspective, but Clementine was young then, and that could still be on her mind considering she couldn't fully understand the situation at the time.

My point is, much like what happened to Kenny's family, I just want Clem to be able to talk about it with him.

  • The 'Still. Not. Bitten!' Speech was pretty powerful I agree.

  • If Kenny hadn't done what he did to Larry, they all might have ended up dead. I don't see nothing wrong there. By now, Clem should be old enough to understand his decision.

True, Clem might have internally resolved that by now, especially considering Lee talks her through it in the epilogue of episode 2.

EDIT: Though I still would like an option to talk about it, or have it come up at some point. EG a Cabin character gets critically injured and is maybe dead, they are in a confined space again:

Kenny: "Clem, you remember what Lee and I had to do in the meat locker?"

    Clem: (responses)

    "She still might be alive!"

    "Why?"

    "[NOD]"

I doubt Carlos would care. I don't know why, but he strikes me as someone grimly and darkly determined to protect his daughter from whatever he see's as a threat; all else is secondary. Rebecca just strikes me as a person who is just immensely scared for her baby and this manifests itself as aggression and paranoia.

And most of all, I want Clementine to blow up on Rebecca the way that Ben blew up on Kenny in episode 4. It would be amazing for a minute long

  • Confront Christa about what? Realize Clem is an 11 year old little girl... What is clem gonna say? Sorry i got your boyfriend/husband/baby daddy killed

  • Yes? They haven't talked about it at all in two years. They need to resolve that shit. Christa still blames Clementine for Omid's death, and Clementine still blames herself.

  • Props for using the Karl Pilkington picture, and yeah I think that would be pretty cool. I personally wouldn't be harsh on anyone because the past is the past.

  • I'm thinking maybe the group stumbles into Lilly at some point. When that happens you'll be presented with a dilemma. You'll have the option of telling your group that Lilly killed your friend Carly and isn't to be trusted (negatively impacting Lilly) or you can keep quiet about that and keep Lilly on the group's good side.

Perhaps after your decision you will later have the option to have a little side chat with Lilly about how your earlier choice played out. If you revealed Lilly's treachery, she'll probably end up lashing out at you. If you kept quiet, Lilly might explain how she feels bad for snapping and killing Carly in cold blood and will ultimately end up thanking Clementine for keeping that event between them.
