Telltale's games at $50.

Would you pay $50 or more for their games if that meant doubling or tripling the development team , allowing them to release episodes much faster?(2-4 weeks)

I'd have to consider it, if thats the only improvement we get.

  • I'd rather build a time machine with that money.

  • Fuck yeah! That's like £40 so I would easily pay that for faster development and better quality games, it's well worth it and what they charge you for most games these days. Hopefully it would increase the length of each episode as well.

  • Yes, yes I would.

  • No. Honestly I would if I had to, but I wouldn't like it.

  • No. $50 would better give me a bigger team AND concrete release dates.

Sure. Maybe then Telltale could even build an actual PR department.

  • Nah they'le use the extra money to work on their new series! Telltale does Nightmare On Elm Street!

  • If I were to consider paying $50 for a 5 episode game, I would expect consistent release dates (for the most part-there must be some room for rare, unexpected setbacks)... 4-6 weeks would be acceptable but preferably no longer than 4. Paying twice as much (+), I would hope that each episode would be longer. Not that I'm complaining, I have enjoyed both TWD and TWAU. The content is well worth the money spent, but who can say that they wouldn't like longer episodes?

  • I wonder how Fry got 600$.

  • He had a few cents on his bank account in 1999. 1000 years later the interests made him a millionair. But he spend all his money on the last can of anchovis at the end of the episode.

  • i don't have money to buy that (only 14 years old and my parents only buy me games on chirstmas and my birthday and i get some money from relatives sometimes and i spend it all on TTG games and sometimes another game here and there)

  • I know, I saw that episode, but he did waste all his money.

  • If they were to be speed up on the progress, I fear the quality of each episode would be degraded.

  • If we gave TT 50$ now for lets say TWD and TWAU, in 2016 there would be like 9 different projects and same staff and same laggy engine, same 2-3 moth of waiting game, same silence from TTs 'PR-department', but still i would... maybe pay that amount, but i would be super duper upset.

  • I would never pay 50$ for 8-10 hours of game play. I can count on one hand how many games I've payed that price for in the last 4 years, and all those games gave me at least 50 hours of game play with multiplayer. On the other hand if telltale made the game twice as long with the same quality, Id buy it for 50$.

  • No way. Im not so impatient that Im willing to pay 3x what the game is worth. Thats insane to me.

  • I would play the heck out of that.

Consider yourself lucky, here in Brazil it IS $50, since it's 10 bucks per episode.

  • well seeing as that's how they USED to do it, that ain't much of an incentive -_- they'd have to do a lot more than that because i don't pay that much for ANY game and i rarely buy DLCs (i think i've ever only bought 2 DLCs, 1 is pending for when it's released).

  • Hahaha, as was I. I was trying to subtly choose what the next telltale game would be.

  • I thought it said $60, so amend that to twice what its worth. Still too much.
