Any Mac success?

Has anybody been able to download episode 2 on a Mac? It still says coming soon for me, and other Mac users who have posted here.

I downloaded and beat the second episode...

  • No luck here yet... Bought it from the Telltale store.

  • anybody use the mac gamestore?

  • Hm. Looks like it's just a problem from users who bought it directly from Telltale. Bummer.

    Yup.

  • Still 'coming soon' for me too (Mac OS 10.9, bought from Telltale store). It's almost 11pm here, hoping I can play the game tonight...

  • Telltale store always has problems. Steam is way more reliable.

  • It looks like the mac version from Telltale is completely bugged up. It just keeps saying 'coming soon' no matter how many times you restart it…

  • should we try and email telltale support?? maybe if enough of us do it they'll help us quicker?? idk it's just a suggestion...I just really wanna play... :(

I didn't really wanna say anything until... well, I actually had something to say, but I have let the TTG guys know about the issue and they should be looking into it at the moment.

  • I am so frustrated.... this is my favorite of all Telltale's games. My PC keeps freezing during downloading and my Mac says Coming soon. Come on Telltale, I have never been so frustrated by a company in my life. Why does this keep happening?

  • According to the support staff the mac version should be downloadable. They suggest restarting so you can implement the new notes.

"Yes the Mac version is available. If you are having any issues downloading it, please close down the game, and restart it. This will allow the game to receive the necessary patches it needs. You should then be able to download the second episode. I apologize for any difficulties you have experienced."

  • They've already started a threat on the support page for the problems with the mac download. The staff says it's downloadable and says to attempt to restart the game once again...

  • I wished I'd realized that before I ordered both TWD season 2 and TWAU from Telltale store. I'm aware that a major launch like this is not without its issues, but shouldn't they know better by now? Especially since it involves the people that want to support them by ordering directly from their store. Eh.

  • The staff now says to restart your mac and then boot up the game…

"I apologize for the inconvenience. Please close the game, and restart your computer. When you start the game again, navigate to the Episodes Menu, and you should be able to download Episode 2. Please make sure you are on a strong internet connection when doing this."

  • Yup, but it doesn't help. It's still "Coming soon!". So no help there.

Well... Kinda used to this with telltale by now. ;I

  • are they still working on it?? or are they just stopping at "refresh the game"??

  • Apparently their only solution is restart your mac and restart the game. Which people have been doing since the game supposedly launched...

  • Well what exactly are you referring to? The mac game store is still having problems.

  • I think we're more or less all buyers directly from Telltale. And their solution is restart and reboot, which we've all done.

  • I'm still trying to figure that one out. Their only idea of solution is turn it off and turn it on. And obviously that's not working out so great.

  • I'm gonna post something in their support forums...maybe they'll help us find a different way to download the game sooner if they see it there.

  • EVERYONE TRY AGAIN! JUST RESTARTED MY MAC, OPENED THE GAME, AND IT'S DOWNLOADING!!! {{PURCHASED FROM TELLTALE DIRECTLY}}

  • ***I have done this probably a dozen times today, so something must have changed! Hopefully it finishes downloading without a problem!

  • I know many people have said this before, but I am adding my name to the list. TWAU AND TWD2 are the last direct purchases I make from TTG's. I'll let steam or whoever have their cut and have a reliable platform.

i redownloaded the game 1.1gig and no change

  • it aint really useful to say, but i can't download it either, it says 'coming soon' still...

I literally posted as it began downloading, and directly before that I restarted my Mac, reopened the game, and there was the "new" crown by the "play" button but not the episodes. I clicked play and it took me to the second episode and it said "download". Once I clicked it took me to the episodes area and allowed me to download. Going smoothly and is now at 43%

  • I will attempt a restart once more then

  • I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you! Let me know how it goes.... this has been a frustrating day.

  • No dice. I think my mac and Telltale conspired against me. Because no matter what I do, it won't register.

  • So is no one from Telltale actually going to respond and help? Does directly emailing them actually get a response?
