How did you treat the murder suspect?

edited February 2014 in The Wolf Among Us

On the players choices only 34% forced them to talk, what did you do?

Comments

  • Speak softly and carry a big stick.

  • I nonviolently got Woodsman to talk on my first. Next I'm going to beat the shit out of TweedleDee.

  • Ahem

Well, they don't call me the big bad wolf for nothing, do they? I smashed the bottle on Dee's face, took his money, burned him with the cigarette and knocked his teeth out. Seemed reasonable at that time. Considering we thought Snow was dead at that time, and i'm pretty sure Bigby would've reacted in a similar manner as well.

  • I was as nice as possible to Woody, and got him talking.

I expected, then, that I'd beat the shit out of Dee in my second run, but surprisingly, I was nice to him as well. It got him talking, so I guess all's well that ends well. Considering the preview of Episode 3 (assuming it happens in Episode 3) with Dee pointing a shotgun at Bigby...Maybe it's a good thing I didn't beat him.

  • I punched the woodsman twice, but everyone was pissed off for some reason

  • You get the same results whether you beat him or not. Same info given and Snow is mad whether you are nice or not. :( Although if you're mean TJ is afraid of you and Toad gives you a guilt trip.

  • Say, did anyone try to get in room 204? Or any other room? Or do you always end up fighting with beast and he ends up breaking the door?

  • I wonder why she was mad though?

  • Well, you can go into room 204. You find nothing of importance there( yes people, Nerissa won't be there) You can also be a cockblocker for the guy in 203, that's about it. I don't know about the other doors but i'm pretty sure Beauty will open them for you. And you don't get to fight Beast until you go to 207.

  • I punched him once, but that was it. He started teasing and thought he was the one with power in that situation. He thought wrong. Also, I took his money and smoked his cigarette (though I didn't burn him with it) if that's of any consolation.

I tried so hard to be nice to Dee, but he didn't answer anything i asked so i smashed the bottle over his head and stole his money and i got him to say something about his boss.

  • Thanks :)

Gave Dee a chance to speak without being forced to, and he talked a little, but too little. Still refused to tell me who his boss was, and when I had the feeling he was taking me for a fool I gave him a well-deserved cigar burn. Tightened his straps too and was about to use the fists but then Snow showed up.

  • I went into all the rooms. Nothing happens at all.

    Thanks

  • I never used the straps because I thought it meant letting the suspect go.

  • You can either tighten or loosen the straps.

I never used the straps because I thought it meant letting the suspect go.

  • I was relatively nice to Dee for the majority of the interrogation. I got him to answer every question through careful questioning and mild intimidation. However, by the last question, my Bigby snapped and smashed Dee's whiskey bottle in his face.

After playing a nice Bigby through the whole of Episode 1, I felt that Snow's death would have pushed him over the edge momentarily. Snow has been the principle reason for Bigby's reformation, so I wanted to let him slip just for a second. After Snow turned up immediately after the fact, Bigby will never break like that again.

  • I thought it interesting that room 204 is the same number as Bigby's apartment. I went into room 204 at the motel, but found nothing.

  • You can enter 204, it is just a normal room. Then you have to try to get into another room and the fight happens.

I tried to be nice to Dee the first time around, but I think tightening the straps meant violence? I didn't actually realize, and since I like to play Telltale games 2-3 times, I'm just going to go back from Episode 1, and then in Episode 2, be nice. Though, I still plan on stealing his money(I saw a video where someone stole his cash but still fought Bluebeard, so I know it's possible to be non-violent whilst still annoying him other ways. Money, smoke, etc.)

  • I tried giving Dee chances to keep it civil for the most part.

Of course I pocket his money and throw a punch just in time for Snow to walk in...

  • Beating up the woodsman is hard since he's so likeable, its quite easy to beat up TweedleDee, so in my 4 playthroughs i was nice and mean to both of them, took Tweedles money though even while being nice.
Talking to the woodsman about no matter how hard you tried, people still looked at them like they were evil, it was a nice bonding moment between 2 badasses i feel. I can feel a bromance growing.

  • I treated him nicely , except I burnt his hand with the cigarette. A little violence helps boost the memory from time to time.
