I Disagree! I think Ep 2 was brilliant!

edited February 2014 in The Wolf Among Us

So the majority of people that I have seen write about this, are saying that they were unhappy with this episode if you compare it to the amount of time they took to develop it. However I entirely disagree.. I thought this episode was brilliant!

Some fantastic story telling was featured in this episode!
I loved the new characters, I thought they were unique, interesting and very well voiced!
I also loved the plot twists! So many plot twists! Haha

Still cannot believe that crane did all that..

Anyone else agree? Aha :)

  • I agree. :) I really liked the episode.

  • I thought that episode was absolutely amazing..

  • I feel the same way. A lot of people including me think the episode was changed in a lot of ways, hence the delay. But still, it was a good episode and i can't wait for the next one. Maybe some people think it wasn't as action packed as the last one but there's nothing wrong with some character development from time to time. Also, from the looks of things we'll get our share of action in the next episodes. Now granted, let's hope they are released at a better pace this time.

  • Most of the people saying its not good because its very small in length and also their is only one fight in episode 2 that was with beast...after four months delyaed i dont except this with telltale ..but its still good not too bad.

  • Personally I enjoy the dialogue more than the action and this was some of the best dialogue in any telltale game. There are some problems with the episode but none that would make me call it anything less than great.

  • Okay its your opinions

I agree as well, I like dialogue much more, it somehow feels more tense then just getting into a fight. Overall I expected that it was going to be longer, but other than that it was really good.

  • Thanks! I'm glad some people agree with me haha :)

I agree. I really liked the episode.

  • My thoughts are the same! I loved Jack and Georgie! I think they are brilliant, impacting and well constructed characters! Very good voice acting too!

  • I agree 100 percent this episode is so underrated

  • Same! Fantastic!

  • You're right, episode was good. But:

    1-Too short

2-I lost a lot of my motivation. Come on, we saw Snow as dead and after few minutes she showed up. I was ready to destroy New York for her.

    3-Episode was buggy.

    4-Episode was like filler.

That was good but not very good.

  • I didn't feel it was too short

I didn't think it was amazing but i didn't think it was bad either i am kind of in the middle, I would have liked it to be slightly longer and with a little bit more action and i didn't feel much satisfaction from playing it but would still give it 8 out of 10.

  • I think the only thing that really irked me was the preview from the end of Episode 1.

Primarily the phrase that the mirror said at the end that went something like, "Friend against friend at the end of the end." to which it showed Bigby's reflection shortly after.

I felt like that sentence meant something important to the story. Like ominous foreshadowing.

  • Seriously? I played it three whole times (to see the different outcomes), from start to finish, in an afternoon.

Isn't that "too short" for you guys?

  • I couldn't agree more, great episode. Kudos to the writers.

  • I trust TellTale and i LOOOOOOVED episode 2 with all its plot twists and cliffhangers!I don't know why everyone's whinin',the game works just fine to me!

  • It did feel shorter on my second playthrough too, huh.

  • It seems to me that the majority liked this game. Everyone wishes it was longer, but that's because it was good I think. It wasn't 100% perfect, but the best story game out there in my opinion. Looking forward to episode 3... hopefully sometime in March?

  • I loved it, really built on my expectations. When the interrogation with the suspect ends, I was just in a state of mindfuck. When I saw the wine and the obsession with Snow I kinda figured that it was Crane, since he apparently has some weird fantasies about her in the comic universe. All my thoughts beforehand were just systematically shattered, and that ending was brilliant. Seriously hope they don't encounter anymore issues and deliver this episode soon, dying to see how Bluebeard works and what the hell we're gonna do about Ichabod? Plus if he has any accomplices. And did anyone else realise when that cop hid his face from Bigby when he left the Strip Club, kjust before he went into the hotel. The camera kinda focussed on it, and I know there is some significance. Him hiding his face? That kid in the queue outside the Office in Episode 1 doing likewise? I've got my suspicions

  • I agree actually! Weird huh?

  • I don't think that many people Are saying the episode was bad, It was actually pretty good but some parts felt a bit rushed like they just threw them in there to finish the episode once and for all, Another thing that raises questions is the fact that the trailer they showed has nothing to do with what happens in episode 2 , but overall it was a good episode and no one is hating on it for the Actual Content

  • I'm enjoying it, it's moving the forward at a steady pace.

  • Jack was a huge troll, he started to bug me..

    I also enjoyed Bluebeard..

  • I didn't think there were any plot twists .Why? Because i already knew snow couldn't be dead since she isn't dead in the comics and this is a prequel altough i admit i didn't expect her back so early i did know she would come back eventualy. Also i already suspected crane not for the same reasons but i did so when crane appeared i tought " I knew It" . Also i felt like the episode was slow paced and i didn't like the new characters blue beard we barely saw anything off jack was annoying and little mermaid didn't have any screen time either. Felt like the nudity was forced.

Also i punched the woodsman ONCE and everyone started saying i was abusing a suspect . No answear about the ginger guy maybe they just cut him because people figured out who he was . The fight scene wasn't that exciting and dynamic like the others were in episode 1 . The only good thing in this episode was the amazing dialogue . Besides that nothing really special in this episode I give it a 7.5/10

  • Really loved it too, the only thing I would critique is that it seemed shorter and thinking that it was also delayed that is a little disappointing.

  • I thinked again, this was good one. Only short.

This episode was about information and relationships. I hope they all effect rest of the game.

  • Episode 2 was definitely worth the wait, well done Telltale. :)

  • I didn't think that anyone would think that that episode was anything less than amazing after I played it! I get that there was a big delay, but still, it was even better than the first and I only had a couple complaints. Lawrence wasn't in it, but he showed up in the previews, and it did seem maybe a little buggy, more buggy than the first anyway.

  • Absolutely loved the epsiode! I strongly believe the reason why it felt kind of short to me, was because I was emerged in the story from beginning to end, didn't want it to end...

It also had the absolute highlight of interrogating T.J., who might arguably be the greatest animated (voiced too, if I could get rid of Clementine's voice in my head. :D) and presented character I have seen in 30 years of video gaming.

  • The episode was fantastic, but the wait was ridiculous. I think that's all people are really complaining about and I don't blame them. TTG needs to get their sh*t together. Especially when they are selling season passes and not meeting release dates.

I certainly enjoyed the episode, but it was so short and replayability isn't really an option with this episode as NONE of your choices matter, not even dialog as most of the time they answer with the same sentences(Apart from the police interview). I enjoyed the first time I played it though, apart from the fact that Snow thought I beat up the woodsman and upset TJ(When neither of those happened), those took me out the experience abit :(. Hopefully next episode will be better though, with actual options and choices to even if its a short episode there is replayability :)

  • I liked the second episode better than the first, but you have to admit that the second episode did have some problems. It definitely wasn't perfect.

  • I totally agree. Had me hooked the whole time. My only complain is that it was too short... I really hope they make these at least twice as long.
