The Glamour Box
I was curious about what the white deer on the glamour box meant, so I did a little research. I stumbled upon The White Doe, a French fairytale involving an ugly lady-in-waiting disguising herself as a princess. Given what the spell was used for, I think it's likely that the glamour box is based on this fairytale. I don't know what relevance this has to the investigation, but it's a neat little tidbit in any case.
On to the investigation itself, does anyone have any theories concerning the glamour box? Crane was probably the one who arranged to have it made (I assume he wouldn't have the skills to do it himself) but was he the one who snuck into Snow's apartment and stole that photo of her to use? That seems like a pretty risky move and seeing as how he's her boss, I would think that there are easier ways for him to get a photo of her.

Wow, that little research you did about the white deer on the glamour box was spot on. It makes perfect sense to this Episode 2 about the fantasys and fetiches of Crane with Snow and The Troll as Lilly and (The Troll as Snow). Now I'm not sure if Snow was a "Princess" before but this can be related to Faith in some way. Let me explain. Remember the "mistery" object that Faith said The Woodsman owed her? Was not the ring but a book. That's it, a magic book who explain how to make clandestine Glamours. Remember Faith was always trying to disguise her appearence from her parents. That's why she had a magic cloack to disguse herself and to escape the kingdome... Well, that magic book is probably not Faith's property either. But she stole it from The Tweedlers's boss (The Crooked Man). This may suggest he took vengance and killed Faith for that book. That's why we saw Faith so desperated searching for that book. That book was probably stole by Toad who stole it from Woody's appartment along with the fur he took in Episode 1.
Now, Crane took possesion of this magic book to learn how to create clandestine Glamours. Probably sold by Toad "I'm guessing" All he needed was to meet some kind of woodworker and learn some witchcraft for the spells. He also know how to do a memory spell.
Anyway, I think Crane actually has the skills do it. After all he is into chemistry, gadgets, all kind of stuff.
We know why he Glamoured Lilly as Snow. But we don't know who actually killed her.
The important thing to remember is that "magic book" that was never revealed in episode 1. Or Maybe the book was Lilly's property. In any case makes perfect sense. Just think about it. Faith looking for something, and Tweedle Dee looking for something in the bookshelf at Lawrence's appartment (Episode 1). Bufking revealed that anyone with the proper books can make clandestine Glamours. (Episode 2).
I can't think of anything else right now. Any thoughts?
I don't remember any mystery object. The only thing Faith thought Woody owed her was the money for her services. The bit about the magic book could still be possible though. Maybe she was intending to disguise herself leave the city and escape the debt that she accumulated from Georgie's fees. That would explain her letter telling Lawrence "I'm Sorry." I don't think this has anything to do with why she was killed though.
She does say shes not doing "this for long anymore". The Crooked Man from who she stole something from was aparently as surprised as everyone else.
