Is it possible to play TWD and TWAU without steam?

I already bought both games on steam, but I was wondering if I could install different versions and play it without steam.

    I heard that if you buy it directly from telltale you don't need steam to play. But I already have it and I don't want to buy the games again.

    I own both Steam and stand-alone versions from Telltale. You can buy and download the digital version of the game from this site. Be aware that you must download the individual episodes from within the game and for me that was bit of a... cumbrous experience.

    But, yes, it's very possible. And I don't encourage resorting to piracy, game well worth the modest price anyway.
