Awesome. I managed to breach the mind of Telltale writing staff and successfully predict someones thoughts at some stage in time.
Not over … moreexited about my achievement or anything but...
Does this mean I'm one of you now?
(meanwhile, in my mind...)
I would have responded with a question further exploring what you meant, but more than likely your hands will be tied by the nature of your wo… morerk.
Actually I'll ask anyway, you seem to keep elements of former characters intact. Will Luke have some kind of complicated hybrid Lee/Clem relationship? As in they both more or less look out for each other equally?
Or simply put an even sibling style relationship, as opposed to the guardian/child relationship of season 1?
Seems like a cool idea, because then you aren't just inverting the roles and perspectives, you are also mixing them up a bit based off of the characters personal traits, and the players get to experience and influence those relational aspects from both perspectives.
All I am hoping is that episode 2 is a damn sight longer than episode 1 was. The worrying thing is, TWAU episode 1&2 were almost as short as each other so unless TWD Ep2 is at least 2/2 and a half hours, I will be very disappointed.
Why are my up-votes making you zealous?
The answer by rote: you are jealous.
But the reasons tersely, I will soon explain.
A show of … moreMercy, to spare your pain.
It's mainly my resulting alliterations. (Explains my popularity)
But mostly your insulting personifications. (Explains your Lack thereof, you see?)
Actually, i think Sarah is going to do something REALLY foolish..we are looking at the new Ben and it's going to be even worse because of those aspects of her that you mention!
I mean it's possible, but I just don't really see Clem really having any sort of "caretaker" in the group. Luke is definitely the Cabin member… more who's most on her side at this point and he would try to look out for her if he could (as would Pete if he survives). But that's different than becoming her caretaker, which to me suggests a level of commitment and responsibility above and beyond that towards another group member. Right now, I at most see Luke maybe becoming something of a confidant to Clem, like Carley was to Lee.
The reason I think Sarah is going to be the important influence on Clem is because she embodies everything that Clem has lost over the past 16 months of her life: innocence, naivete, trustfulness, and optimism. Luke is a very nice, moral person, but he doesn't really provide Clem with anything special that she can't get from someone else. Sarah, on the other hand, is possibly the only person left in that world who's been comp… [view original content]
To me, Sarah is more of a worry than anything. All she is to me is a worry that she is in danger, that her supreme naivety will get her or som… moreeone else killed.
Yeah she could probably indirectly kill almost everyone like this:
* Sarah is surrounded by walkers
Carlos: Sarah NOOOO...
Carlos runs towards Sarah and frees her before she gets bit
Carlos: Don't worry...you're safe now...
Carlos realizes that he was bit
* Large debris falls towards Sarah
Alvin: Sarah, Get out of the way!!!
Alvin pushes Sarah away
Alvin gets crushed by debris
* Carver tries to shoot Sarah
Sarah drops her glasses and tries to pick it up
Sarah avoids the bullets
Bullets are about to hit Kenny
Kenny deflects bullets using mustache
Deflected bullets kill Carver
Just had a good idea that he could make for a good new moral compass. Similar to the first Season when you had Clementine be the moral compass and didn't want to upset her by harsh actions. Luke could be like; "This girl is pretty nasty" and all that. He may even go on to say that Lee didn't raise Clementine right if you're a complete dick to everyone you meet. And maybe just MAYBE it turns out Luke may not turn out to be any better and turns out not to be as nice a guy as he seems. Even though I sincerely doubt the latter. It would be pretty interesting to have the male adult the moral compass now. Tricky to do though. Maybe Telltale can do it in the sense of trying to impress him or something? Who knows.
I see luke as more like the bait. He's the only person left u can really consider decent and competent in this new group and aside from a few outbursts, which are understandable, if a little harsh/judgemental, he is the only person to make clem think staying with this group might be ok. He's more likely to be the new kenny, in that you will be stuck with him for most of the game and he'll be constantly judging you. But since everyone else is already doing that, we still need the event to get them to recognize clem as a part of the group. Finally, given ttg's penchant for killing people and drama, it may come down to him making the final choice to kill you out of mercy, or let you be torn apart at the end. He had issues with killing the dog, and tho she was bit, he still seemed hesitant/ depressed to think about killing a little girl, so i think this may be quite possible.
Yeah I was pretty pissed at the group by the time Clem got out of that shed, but you're right. Luke's cool with me. So far him and Pete are the two most decent, and if you give Nick the chance to tell his story he seems ok, if unreliable. Kind of like a slightly more dangerous but less generally inept Ben.
You're right about charging the walkers when Clem was injured too. He had her back, so I've got his until proven otherwise.
Him and Pete (and Sarah if it turns out she isn't a psycho) are the only ones so far to act like decent human beings.
Clementine: "I don't think the others will be happy with me staying." Luke: "They'll just have to deal with it." I think Luke prioritizes them… more both equally now that he has gotten to know Clementine.
Luke takes initiative to get Clem some food and to talk to her afterward to see if she is okay the moment he realizes how badly he fucked up by letting the others lock her in the shed. He also convinces Nick to apologize to Clem, and gives Clem the opportunity to build a relationship with Nick by forgiving him. Also remember that Luke literally charged a group of walkers to save Clementine, and Pete had to save Luke (crossbows the walker behind him) as he was distracted by seeing if Clem was okay to see the walker that was behind him.
I'm not sure if Luke is just a very morally driven person ('A dog attacks you and you just kill it? That's cold. You don't just kill dogs.') or if he is driven by the memory of a dead younger sibling that Clementin… [view original content]

Yeah Alvin's ok dude, he gave Clem the Juicebox after all, he's just so obviously beaten down by that Hag-Raven of a wife he's afraid of his own shadow. He could've been a man about it and spoke up for Clem like Pete and/or Luke did. Instead he let Rebecca push him up onto the fence.
He's ok, he's certainly one of the nicer people in the cabin BECAUSE he's been so passive, up to now. I'm looking forward to seeing more of his character and whether he steps up when we're forced to leave the cabin.
I'm also gonna tell him about the baby first chance I get, because he deserves to know, and my Clem's not really into blackmail, she's too direct. I only told Rebecca I knew to let her know thou shalt not fuck with Clementine.
I'm certainly not risking Clem's life for a moldy old bandage and a juicebox though.

Actually animation staff :-)
You would be correct that I cannot answer those questions ;-)
It's weird imagining Luke with a black mullet. I kinda would have liked him to have a ball cap though.
Also, was Luke ever going to have a flashlight, or was that just for the promotional artwork.
I'm trying to imagine Nick with Luke's hair. It's weird.
(?) He will remember your secrecy...

This picture was just to make us think it was Kenny. It was probably Nick originally before they decided to have Clem talk to Luke at the table.

I had no idea having up-votes were so crucial for your self-esteem. What a terribly insecure little person you must be.
Actually, i think Sarah is going to do something REALLY foolish..we are looking at the new Ben and it's going to be even worse because of those aspects of her that you mention!
It's decided. I need an epic stache!
Wow. I don't think I'd have forgiven Nick if he wore a backwards cap.
Maybe make him wear it backwards when he's getting ready to kick some walker ass, haha. Kind of like in pokemon.
To be so mad, it must be a fad. Yet to everyone else, it really is quite sad.
Hmmm, your first and only post so far. Not a troll, surely...?
Then go for it man!
You will be proud!
No one will replace Lee. Nuff said.

What about Alvin bro?
Ep2 screenshots suggests Luke will be spending more time with clem

How would he trim it?
Ah yes, Clem being direct. My Lee always taught Clem to be direct. I'm gonna do the same.
He won't, because it ain't gonna grow
