What if Roman isnt dead?
Telltale always reuse models,or change patterns too.You also saw the gy from the dead couple in ep 5,which dosnt make sense.Also a model that look slike Anna Correa with a different hair color.Did she change it?i dont think so!They changed the pattern and reused it.That opens a door for Roman in Season 2... Maybe we should go too,sis.If Roman is still looking for us he woudnt be able to do anything to us there -Becca Im sure she didnt say that for nothing 
Also,keep in mind that this is a THEORY :P

Sorry for the facepalm, but they wouldn't reuse the model of such an important character.
He's dead. It's not a reused and slightly altered character model, it's him, and he's dead. Very, very dead.

They will explain his death. The bodies they found by the river are part of a larger mystery that has yet to be answered.
Why will they. Not every single person from 400 days will show up. Shel and Becca wernt with him even. This is just an alterantive to never seeing him again. After all he wasnt much of an interesting character anyway.
Carver and/or his gang killed him and all the other characters at the river bank, he is dead but we might get some sort of explernation later when we see what type of person Carver is.

It is Roman. Besides the fact that facial features match, he is wearing the same leather jacket he had in 400 Days.
Talking about Roman, what side do you think he was? Carver's side or the other group's side?
The people you play as during 400 days are confirmed. Some of the other people aren't as important. And I'm sure TellTale would have made sure that Roman's model was altered if they were going to put him there. So I think Roman is dead.
It's a mystery. ^_^ it's either he was with carver and carver got mad (like governor in the show) or he was I another group and got attacked.Would be hard to think he was in another group,if yes why was he at the river?A meeting?Or he was in carvers group at the river for some reason...
