Threads critical to Telltale being deleted?

Just realized two threads have been deleted. None were mine.

One was something like "Are you a Telltale apologist" and another was "Are you really entitled to a refund...".

I mean, seriously?

Comments

  • not only are threads getting deleted but the people who made the are turning up dead all over the world! A guy in Ohio was found dead last night....his head had been crushed with a saltlick.....

  • Yeah they are, and this one is gonna be deleted too I believe

  • Not funny. And I am not short of humour myself.

  • Noticed this too. I suspect it might've been because mods found them too... aggravating. But only mods know.

    ...

Could we get some clarifications on this, dear sirs?

  • It's almost as if Telltale ran this forum...

  • The sarcasm/pun is lost on me. Please elaborate?

They probably just want people focusing on one thread instead of flooding the forums with them

The original "I'm entitled and TTG sucks" thread is still up, so there wasn't much point to creating more threads about the very same thing.

  • Hmmm....but then all the "is Lee still alive" and "Kenny for S2EP2" threads and countless other similar ones get to stand? But JUST ONE critical thread remains?

There are plenty of critical threads still up. Is it not more likely that they allow the well thought out threads and delete pointless rants/ trolling?

  • What I mean is that this forum is in the Telltale website, so you can expect some threads which are overly critical of Telltale to be deleted...

    I don't know if it's fair, it's just what I think happens.

  • Yeah. Some of the "softer" critical threads haven't been deleted. I think they'll just delete them if they think the thread's crossed a certain line.

9/10 of those threads are made from alternate accounts of banned users who are stirring up drama.

Obviously we are only volunteer mods and we don't care if you make a thread to criticize Telltale as long as it is in the fitting forum and actually contributes to discussion.

However, people are making accounts just to spam the popular forums (aka Walking Dead and Wolf Among Us) to stir up drama. The only threads we remove are threads that are only meant to start forum drama rather than have constructive discussion.

There is a world of difference between having well thought out and reasonable criticism of Telltale, and registering 30 accounts in one day to spam the Walking Dead/Wolf forums with posts about how Telltale Games is literally worse than Hitler for missing their vague estimates for episode releases.

    Pretty much this.

  • Freedom of Speech does not mean what you think means. It merely means that the government can't punish you for controversial opinions.

Wasn't your legal thread removed on the basis that the mods didn't want you getting fans to waste their time trying to sue Telltale for a refund because they would have no legal grounds to do so? I'm starting to get the impression from your Freedom of Speech comment that your knowledge of the law isn't as good as you say it is.

  • I've never seen someone get so close to using the "You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means" meme without actually using it.

  • I am done. My next thread/post here will be when I get my fucking refund from Steam. Then I'll shove it up the mods and stick it in their faces. Bloody Telltale minions they are.

Spoiler Alert: You aren't going to get your refund from Steam on a game that specifically said it's an episodic game. It doesn't work that way, you don't buy a season pass and back out because you're impatient. I figured a man that knows the law as well as you do would know that or something

EDIT: Steam's Support says that it does not do refunds except for special circumstances, like for the War Z. The only exception they will make is if you preorder this game and backed out before release, which you have not done.

  • Good on you, ignorant soul. God has blessed me with two beautiful Steam refunds before this so I do know what I am doing. Thanks for the irrelevant concern all the same.

  • What games were they? I know Steam has granted some games refunds under specific circumstances, I highly doubt they'll refund you on the Walking Dead though.

  • Oh, that's speciality of our "volunteer moderators". Banning users. Criticism. Ban. One joke they don't like. Ban. Can I have a second chance? LOL, ban. I'm sorry it won't happen again? Too late, banned. But I've gathered many likes. Who cares, ban. But I was a member since... ban.
They don't care about spammers or pointless private chats on forum. Keeping forum clean? No. Banning? Yes.

    He got banned I think
