About Sarah
Have there been any theories regarding Sarah and how she's "not like Clem" and other people?
Is it simply because she's been raised in a sheltered environment due to her father being overprotective or is it because of some underlying mental disorder? Some kind of low functioning PDD? With Carlos being a medical professional, both are possible - trying to protect his only daughter to such an extent that's more of a disadvantage in this world or diagnosing a mental disease (which of course would've happened even if he wasn't a medical person, but you get my point).
Throw your ideas at me, I'm curious.
Also I'm seeing an event coming up in which Clem has to save Sarah who's unable to help herself, which would finally open Carlos' eyes but it might just be too obvious to actually happen.

literally nobody cares
She's a "special child", if you know what i mean. Like Duck, but the other kind of "special".
I think her father is being "over-protective". Da.dumm.tss
No one replies because most of us have had this coversation like 10 times. E1 has run its course...
Carlos just made the same mistake, that Lee did almost. The diffrent between Lee and Carlos in this point is...Lee met Chuck. And Chuck had the balls to say, what he have to hear. You cant protect your family for 24 hours in such a world. You have to teach them how they protect themself. Even it is hard, but they had to learn it. Carlos have to deal, that the childhood of his special girl is fucked anyway. In the short way, it's liek Chuck says "If you treat her like a little girl, she will die like a little girl."
Exactly why I did a search before starting the thread but saw no in depth conversation about this. Guess I missed it.
I'm beginning to think I have to save Sarah for Carlos' bad parenting. :P
Not that I openly disagree with the man, for couple of reasons. First, I respect parents rights to raise their child, unless well-being of the child is threathened. Second, I want to make a good first impression with the group so that Clem would have easier time in adapting to the group and be less of a suspect.
Carlos though... strikes me as a kind of guy who would still go blaming Clem even if she saved Sarah life.
Well you went out of your way to try not to repost a topic. Much more than the majority does
I've seen two or three good threads and numerous ones I would classify as 'other'.
In all honesty we just need episode two
The very fact that Carlos couldn't tell that Clementine was bit by a dog, makes me want to "save" Sarah from him.
EDIT: Forgot to say "Worst doctor ever".
Carlos just tried to protect her daughter and the group, but how the hell could you not make the difference between a walker bite and a dog bite..
Srsly. I tryed with clementine to say him "She fucking had to grow up" and Carlos aka 'the worst doctor ever' yells at me "You had to shut the FCK up nigga!" and i was like
No but srsly. If Sarah dies, it will be sad...but I will than staying behind Carlos for saying "I told ya brah."
Well, Pete couldn't tell either.
You should consider taking account of graphics and storytelling in this case. Maybe it was supposed to be torn bad enough, so it wouldn't be clear what caused it but also had look like something that Clem would be able to sew shut? Just a thought.
Here have an upvote. Or better yet, have two.
I saw the bite... It looked like nothing a human could cause without having some serious incisors, not to mention it was way too large of a bite.
Like GoFigure said: ''Maybe it was supposed to be torn bad enough, so it wouldn't be clear what caused it'',telltale you need to improve the cartoon graphics
Graphical choice for storytelling purposes. Like I said.
Not human, who knows how bad could a walker tear open an arm. I have seen a few dog bites, not many real life zombie bites.
Well, I didn't mean to imply they'd have to improve...
Just that the graphical choice would have to support story. Which it did, kind of.
Meh.. haven't played in a week, but it certainly didn't look torn up, it looked pretty well textured if I can remember.
It sure didn't. That's what I'm trying to say. But it had to be graphically something that Clem would be able to stitch in a minigame. Real dog bites can be very, very nasty.
Ahh, yeah that makes sense... didn't even know you were trying to say that :P
Yeah... I seem to get that a lot.
That said, while I think there's a improvement in Carlos' parenting skills. His doctorate is still on a table, figuratively speaking.
