In all seriousness, isn't it possible that they're still adding more data?

  • edited February 2014

Yikes, that is a bit worrying length wise. But at least this means that we'll hopefully get the next episode shortly! Let's just hope it'll live up to our expectations.

EDIT: It looks like they're adding more data?

  • When we downloaded Episode 1, we download the engine (the whole framework for the game) as well. You don't need to download this again so the rest of the episodes should be a smaller size than the first one, unless it's a very long episode.

  • I hate to bring the party down but thats doesn't mean WE will get Ep2. Localbuild is for Telltale playtesters. If the Steam update the software you should see something like that "publicmanifest/xxxxxxx/publicbranch. (Aslong as the word public show inside it mean we are getting Ep2)

  • I dont see the word "public" anywhere near the files they uploaded for TWAU ep2. So far both TWD and TWAU changelogs on steamdb look exactly the same, which means we could be getting the episode next week.

  • Puzzlebox said that they send the episode a few weeks in advance before they start bug fixing so it's done by the time they want to release. Looks to me like we could either get this game Friday as a surprise or it's announced for Tuesday. Telltale announced season 1's episodes on the day before or of release multiple times.

From first glance it looks like they updated the size from roughly 1.0 GB to 1.9 GB. It sounds like the episode is finished and they're now waiting for the episode to be rated and approved by MS and Sony.

They may just be uploading a part now then the rest later. It may be bigger then TWAU ep2 yet unless theyve never done that before.

Sorry you all had to deal with that... ahem, "pleasant" individual. It has been handled.

Please get back on topic and ignore the troll for now.

This is my fault. I took part in the argument and engaged the troll which agitated it. I just couldn't stand by and watch a fellow community member get bullied by his/her complete nonsense. I want to apologize to the members who wanted this thread to stay on topic. Hopefully we can get this thread back in order.

It's alright, you were completely in the right. :)

There is a world of difference between calling out somebody's bigotry and engaging/insulting trolls.

Um.... Guys? Nothing's happened in a while. Oh God, it was a sham, wasn't it? Son of a bitch, Telltale, look at what you did to Kenny: Also, I just noticed: "Telltale" in this comment section is regarded as a misspelling. 10/10 website design.

Not every Christian is like that. I'm a Christian and I just go with the flow. Take that for what you will.

All of that shit is one of the reasons why I am an ex-Christian. So much hypocrisy, judging, condemning and just so much damn fighting and bickering over doctrine, blah blah blah. It makes me sick to my stomach.

  • Good on ya. Beliefs or no beliefs, ya still my bro. :)

Nice that you're treating people of faith or no faith fairly. :) Next time though don't bring up religion on a video game forum site. It just...doesn't end well. I mean you can but I wouldn't recommend it. Frankly I'm surprised a flame war didn't erupt.

  • Ikr? We dodged a bullet here, I mean I've seen some threads here that go down into religion wars, I'm just glad that nothing exploded here just like you said. ;)

Ah. My mistake, then. He most likely wasn't a man of faith. Most likely an asshole just starting trouble. Don't let assholes on the internet get to ya. :)

Doesn't matter. Either way she tried caused trouble and it was averted. Anyway let's all just end this discussion now and just get on with this Episode 2 topic before someone else tries to make this ugly.
