An a 1 Gb episode? that's alot, either the graphics improve A LOT, or the episode is really big (wich is awesome too)
It's not 1GB actually. It's 850mb. TWDS2 EP1 was 1.1GB, and EP1 and 2 of TWAU were 1.2 and 1.1GB respectively.

TWD S2E1 is only 983MB in size and some of that is for the menu which could be reused when they release episode 2, The 850MB could be part of episode 2 but i do agree that it does seems a bit small for a full episode.

Why did puzzlebox or ttg staff change the last thead's name? It was 'steam updates mean nothing' - does this mean this could possibly mean nothing at all?

The 1.06GB incluldes DirectX files so we probably wont need to download them again. see my pic below.
