The only good things is, the silence is broken and we know when will it be released.
But we don't! What is the difference between saying early March and coming soon ?!?! I really want to believe that REAL early March (maybe like before March 5th) we have the game but unfortunately I don't see that happening.

Everyone you listed exept kenny isn't thought to be dead, molly being thought to be dead depends on what happend in season 1 ep4, vernon and the cancer survivors took the boat and we never heard from them again, hershel kicked you off his farm after his son died and was never heard from again and glen just left to continue in the tv show
After a few hours of reflection, this whole thing makes me a little happier. Was this ridiculous by Telltale? Sure, especially in the fallout of the TWAU delay... but I am happy to finally have a release window. And I do understand the whole "episode 2 usually takes the longest" thing as frustrating as it is.

If episode 2 is short or flawed and if episodes 3-5's releases drag out this long? ... I don't know, I guess I'll just bitch more. Kinda love the game too much to do anything drastic.

They've told us what is happening and have given a date for a trailer and a release date (likely vague as they have to now wait for the publishers to come back)

This will clearly tell us if there's some sort of internal problem within Telltale since the same thing happened with TWAU (Long wait, short and boring episode). This will dictate if we should get hyped for episode 3 or just forget that it's happening and check the forums 2 months later. This will also dictate if i'm paying for their future games (memelands and game of thrones) or waiting until they're in a humble bundle sale.
What we've learned so far
-Telltale's PR is incompetent and useless
-Tweets, blog updates, "soon"s and "coming soon"s mean absolutely nothing.
-The only way to tell when big news about the episode are coming out is when big files get uploaded to http://steamdb.info/app/261030
-They can't work on 4 games at once
-Telltale are liars
They need to do some serious adjustments to their PR and how they deal with the community or this will hurt them bad and their future sales.

Im putting my money on the Trailer being released on thursday next week and the Episode coming out March 4th, They usually release the trailers 3 or 4 days before the game comes out and they release the episodes on a Tuesday most of the time

God, Telltale. You have no idea how much this March announcement ruined my day. I know we should be happy for a release window, but damn the only likely dates we had was the 25th because we still had faith in you to bring us the episode on time.
So, am I happy? Yes, for finally getting a release window. But I'm gonna need a drink to accept the fact it's also getting delayed like Smoke & Mirrors. I for one have been waiting for too damn long, only to get news about more waiting.

Because they're not a TWD based game company. They have other franchises. They make other games and need to focus on other projects as well as TWD.
They don't even have the manpower to consistently release one franchise, let alone 4.
