Your top 3 ingredients that would make ep. 2 worth the wait

edited February 2014 in The Walking Dead

Here's a few suggestions:

  1. Meaningful repercussions from ep. one / opportunities for in-depth character development

  2. Hefty running time (aprox. length of STARVED FOR HELP)

3. Identity reveal of the "I thought you were dead" person

    juice box, maybelle and kenny

EDIT: juice box being number 1 and the others being 2 and 3 respectively

None. I'm beginning to see clearly that she will shoot one of the bad guys and will leave, thinking he was dead, only for him to return later in the episode leading her to say "I thought you were dead". I can bet on it.

Other than that, we can expect a death no matter what, a 30 minutes long episode and Joel and Ellie from The Last of Us arriving at them. Next episode made by Telltalte and Naughty Dog, takes 3 years to release it.

  • Rich and meaningful character development

A small flashback to the previous 16 months

    2.5+ hours of gameplay

    1. DEATH.
    2. Free roam around the cabin that lets you actually talk to cabin group.
    3. A worthwhile "I thought you were dead" reveal. That means no fucking "give or don't give water to the guy" guy.
  • Thats a lot of gameplay

  • 3 is not happening. I am willing to take bets. It will be in the "coming soon" for episode 3. :)

  • I'm not real optimistic on number 3

  • 1) Kenny. 2) Kenny. 3) Kenny. Or alternatively, 1) Rebecca's death 2) Rebecca's death 3) Rebecca's death.

Well you'll only get poor and meaningless character development, a small flashback on how Omid cheated death to regenerate into God himself and probably 15 minutes of gameplay just roaming around the mountains.

4.) More than 1.5 hours long, preferably 2.5 or longer...

5.) The option to salt lick Rebecca

6.) A certain character with a badass mullet and a godlike stache.

    1. 2.5 hours minimum.
    2. Not killing off Luke this episode
    3. Pete surviving the amputation.
  • Do you feel it coming? Do you feel him/her? The person Clem and Christa met during the 16 months break and made them stop trusting people?

    1. More interactions with the characters. I want to know more about their past
    2. A puzzle. Even an easy one.
    3. Kenny or Lilly as tought-were-dead-guy

  • 1.Kenny
    2.More season one consequences
3.More difficult choices....my favorite part of the first season was the tough moral choices you had to make, and episode one seemed lacking in this regard....granted, the choices in episode one of the first season weren't too difficult for me either, so here's hoping the tough choices are yet to come.

Vivec uses the stache helicopter to intercept those damn Cliff Racers before they can become a problem. Vivec... has changed a bit in appearance since we last saw him.

  • Relax, this was an introductory episode so you can know the context of the story, new charatchers, and be aware of what the game intends... I mean, killing off Omid and Sam is basically saying "Well you know how you like Clem? You gonna cry a lot..." "you aslo know how everyone says Gerorge RR Martin kills off everyone? Well, bring it on!!"

  • Revealing the identity of I thought you were dead.
    A longer episode.
The ability to talk with everyone at my own speed.

  • AHAH funny :P

Everyone will die expect for Rebecca and Clementine and they will have a fight to the death...

  • I have no faith in Telltale as a company but I do have faith in them to create an above average story line. That being said the only thing I want to see this episode is to have it last more than 2 hours. Id be very pleased with 3.

  • I honestly want to see how well Clem handles a gun after those 16 months. Maybe how good our training was in Episode 3 of S1 will determine how well Clem shoots?

More adventure game elements. Give you time to wind down and talk to people. Examples? Like that time you were trying to start up the train.

Ever since "No time left" the series has went solely for a cinematic approach with it's gameplay. I like to explore an area and talk to people. It also extends the length of an episode drastically.

  • You know what'd be scary? If the, "I thought you were dead" person is revealed to be Lilly/Kenny and he/she is held hostage by the scavengers. Then Carver orders his men to take Rebecca (apparently the two had history together).

Then he demands you to make a choice: Who do you want him to kill and who do you want him to spare.

    Kenny/Lilly or Rebecca

I'm probably stretching this but imagine if he ended up doing the opposite of what you said. If you want him to spare Kenny/Lilly and kill Rebecca he kills Kenny/Lilly and spares Rebecca. So you'd have to deal with all of that unhappy shit from whoever you chose to die.

Of course this can't happen since Rebecca lives to see EP3.

Tough decision if it's gonna be Lilly...They are both annoying bitches!

Easy decision if it's gonna be Kenny...give me a Saltlick and i'm gonna kill Rebbeca with my own hands!

But why would Carver have 1 of them as a hostage? He doesn't even know Clem, so how should he know that Clem knows Lilly/Kenny?

  • The super accurate portrait of Kenny and his family Clem had. Unless she burned it.

  • Well...i thought you could use the Drawing to remember Kenny of the man he once used to be, since he would have obviuosly changed over the past2 years. But that could be also an option. (even though it's kinda goofy)
