tisn't fun being under the legal drinking age for your country. (which I am) but! I can go ask out that cute girl in my play. that should keep me occupied for a couple weeks!
'Oh just played the episode and you guys are going to play soon too' and 'Around a corner guys'. Thx a fucking alot TT. Your 'Soon' STILL is one and half month, you almost got me believe it's something "sooner"
I still want to thank Telltale they saved this until now. It'd have been even worse if they announced this on Monday or earlier. This week is almost done, and then we only have one more week before shit hits the fan.
Well, at least we know when it should be coming out. (Too bad I'll be too busy at work at the time.) I wouldn't say it's delayed since they never actually promised a concrete release date... but their 4-6 week estimation is currently WAYYYYY off.
Funny. Of all the possible causes, not even knowing what is going on at Telltale, people deduce that TTG employees must be evil and/or incompetent. :S
My final comment on this because it has been pretty much said repeatedly now, I have not played TWAU. Why? Because Im not going to pay Telltale to ignore me again. I might buy the game when it comes out with all episodes (at this pace, that might be in 3-4 years.) But this isn't about TWAU, its about TWD. What I don't understand about Telltale is that they should really focus on TWD more so than TWAU. I know people are saying their are "multiple teams" working on each game but that doesn't make sense. TWD is Telltales cash cow, the star, the game they attribute to their rise in revenue and fandom. Its astounding they can't be more appreciative of the fans who have put Telltale on the map.
Fact is, it doesnt matter whose fault it is. People just want what they want and ignore any reason's for delay's. People here tend to demand thing's or make guesses then blame Telltale if their guesses turn out to be wrong or don't get what they demand.
They will bitch, threaten, write harsh blog's and simply troll these forums to display their own immaturity and impatience hoping it will make some sort of difference. In the end, the only thing that matters are the day's the episode's are released. Everything til then is just worthless noise!
Am i the only one who thinks it's not TTG fault, but it could be Microsoft, Sony, Steam, etc. failing to set a right date with TTG and other stuff like that? Or something else like that?
What to look out for in the next episode once it releases
-Length
-Overall Quality of the episode
Was it short? Was it worth the long… more 2.5+ months wait? This will clearly tell us if there's some sort of internal problem within Telltale since the same thing happened with TWAU (Long wait, short and boring episode). This will dictate if we should get hyped for episode 3 or just forget that it's happening and check the forums 2 months later. This will also dictate if i'm paying for their future games (memelands and game of thrones) or waiting until they're in a humble bundle sale.
What we've learned so far
-Telltale's PR is incompetent and useless
-Tweets, blog updates, "soon"s and "coming soon"s mean absolutely nothing.
-The only way to tell when big news about the episode are coming out is when big files get uploaded to http://steamdb.info/app/261030
-They can't work on 4 games at once
-Telltale are liars
They need to… [view original content]
Well, as a usual defender of telltale, this will probably be the last time i buy a season pass from them, if 3-4 month waits are going to be a regular thing. When it's that long i may as well wait until it's finished and buy the thing on sale.
I cant help but feel this has to do with them trying to take on too many projects at once.
Had you told me at the release of the first episode that I'd still be waiting in March, I would have told you that you were full of crap. Never was the plan, waiting this long.
Not surprised by the "early March" release date, and not bad considering Feb is a short month, making a possible date of March 4th less than two weeks away. All of this fits into the idea that TTG was going to release an episode a month, alternating between TWD and TWAU. Sure, that means at least two months between episodes of an individual game (from now on), but it also means we are going to get something every four weeks or so. That's not a bad schedule for a small developer. I can live with this since I play both games.
I bet that 80% (and i'm low balling) of people that say they'll never buy anything for TT again are the first to download the episodes when they come out.

I don't mind that if they stick to it, but with a 4 month wait for TWAU and now 3 months for this. I'm going to need some reassuring that they're capable of keeping to that schedule.

I look at it the positive way, At least we didn't have to wait almost 4 months like TWAU just about 3 :P
good luck mate!
Not inform us about any of those cases make them look quilty as dogshit!
"Super soon", they said. "Just around the corner", they said.
It just feels wrong from them to say 'Soon and super soon' or 'Ep 2 was awesome, you guys are going to play that episode too SOON'.

I am just gonna leave this here
What was it meant to be?
During march break! Only one problem though...WHAT IF IM NOT HOME AND ON VACATION?
Still got Donkey Kong to play until A House Divided, anyway.
So according to Telltale's Twitter, Episode 2 is coming out early March.

Yes, we know. Look on the previous pages.
My bad, I was so excited I didn't bother looking.

Remember when you said a March prediction was stupid, yea...
Early March they say? Now i am sure i am not going to pre-order a telltale game. Congratz Telltale for another Delay. Your really ruined our day.
March 4th?
Probably they saw that 120 pages are enough to create "tales from telltale blog"'s timeline and decided to stop us by giving news
Release date: between 1 March and 10 March... more probably on 4 march
At this rate, we could as well expect it to come 31st of March. :P
That's only a problem for you, not for the rest of us.
We are so not finished with this till Summer. 4 Franchises this Year. Its insane.
At this rate, Ep5 won't come out until November. It'll be almost a year since the Season started.
Woooonderfuuuuuuuul... /sarcasm
Im considering March 4th.
Ah...... This must be the ridiculously huge thread that I'm supposed to comment in because all the other fucking threads are getting closed.
Borderlands and Game of Thrones will get pushed back to Summer 2015, probably.
Didn't say it was your problem either :P

"hurt them bad"?
Not so sure..

Early March? This better not affect the release for TWAU E3.
Lee- "Heh heh nope."
DONT BRING THAT GAME INTO THIS!
Bud TWAU EP3 will not be coming out in march it will be coming out in april.
