Telltale potential?

edited February 2014 in The Walking Dead

Where see telltale games developing into in the future right now making quality games on low budget imagine the game they could create on big budget and with the TWD and TWAU looking like hits and upcoming games telltale will only get bigger with growing fanbase lead to bigger budgets.

Will they just concentrate on point and click story adventures or try different genres?

What other games or comics will they purchase and make stories out of? personally like silent hill

What in there games feel need improvements or changes in the future?

Any collaborations on games like to see? For me Quantic Dream and telltale make epic game

Any voice actors like see in the future for me? Troy Baker, Nolan North and Morgan Freeman

What you think?

  • Budget's kind of a subjective concept really. I would certainly imagine GTA 5 had a higher budget than Walking Dead. The actual question would really be does their budget allow them to create the game they want to create?

Games I want to see? Sam & Max Season four and more Hector.

Mean in future as profits grow bigger the budget for games will get bigger telltale are ambitious and will create best game they can sure added funding would even help just to get more staff on board to stop delays but agree with game choses

  • Fun to see what happens in future hopefully continue to get good games maybe Samuel L jackson as some angry dude

  • If this constant switching developers between TWAU and TWD every couple of days is what's really causing these late releases and short episodes then they have a bad future ahead.

  • And Morgan Freeman as the main voice actor! Everything sounds better explained with an epic Morgan Freeman voice!

  • Never played Heavy Rain, but speaking from a perspective of someone who played BTS I think TTG is better off alone....

  • true but don't judge by that game like playing Jurassic park and saying telltale bad company heavy rain hundred times better

  • Maybe, but unlike JP for TTG Two Souls was Quantic's baby. Hyped and nurtured and a let down :(

  • Agree 80% cutscenes, Quicktime events couldn't fail and for game which prides itself on effects on decisions lacking in beyond so disappointing

  • Exactly! There were two things I enjoyed, though, to be fair.

The idea of the game as a whole was very cool. I've always been a fan of paranormal things. It was a pretty original story and had interesting concepts. So I admire their attempt to make it into something special, even if they failed miserably.

Lastly, and by far the best part of the game (I can't stress how much it really did for the game), was Jodie herself. Ellen Page did a fantastic job bringing Jodie to the screen in an amazing light. She made me really connect with the character because she seemed so life like in her portail of pain, betrayal, sadness, and every other emotion.

I would give this game a 4/10, but in truth it was more like a 6 or 7 for the singular reason of Ellen Page.

Man there scene where have challenge if complete it help get information on your sons where abouts go wrong way down busy road full speed qte I was standing up playing so intense if miss one qte you crash and miss clue.

Another where your challenge for clue is kill drug dealer but when about to shot talks about his children as really hard to shot so you decide to shot or not potentially not finding your son who will die without clue

One where stuck in shed its split screen see the police coming to open shed on other screen and if don't find a way out in time get arrested

About 8 different endings where get arrested, son dies by his grave etc

Story unbelieveable your also play as detective and miss clue while searching your never be able to help case play as many different characters who collide at end if succeed in all your qtes or could all end up dead really challenging and intense as can't fail
