I agree with this. Apparently she didn't get to go further in the games because she was too much like a 'video game character'. I have two things to say about that.
It's a video game, I think TellTale has a right to make their characters similar to 'video game characters'.
She is a skilled fighter and she's alright at freerunning. That is realistic, there are people MUCH better at freerunning and fighting than Molly. For fuck's sake, Lee kills his way through a hoard of walkers and keeps up with Molly when she freeruns. ._.

There is a possibility that Molly is the person Clementine recognizes in the preview for Episode 2.
If that is the case, I would support a pairing between Luke (or Nick, for that matter)...but only if it made sense.
