  • My regular facial expression is pretty similar to that (especially when I am really bored), and I don't have PTSD.

It just looks like a blank facial expression to me.

  • What evidence do you have it was a flashback? I took it as the events happened, then we had the time skip and that is where we ended up. That was the point of the time skip.

  • I think he's called David something.

No Kirkman did a book called rise of the governor. The governors brother was called Philip. He was even crazier than Brian.

Didn't have a zombie head collection though.

The actor who plays the governor on the TV show?

  • Your a necromancer dude. Your supposed to have a fucking Zen look in your eyes. Just like Al- Hazred...

  • Many game files confirm that it was a flashback

  • Word of the day: Desensitized.

Zombies and murder aren't shocking, or scary, or weird anymore. Random death is just how things are in her world. For her, and everyone else in this world (except maybe Sarah, who is guaranteed to be in for a LOT of rude awakenings), it's no longer shocking. Seeing your friends get eaten? Yup, that's how it goes. Needing to shoot your mentor in the head? Just another day. Needing to sew up her own arm? As long as she has the materials, she's good. It's not traumatic anymore. This is just how her life is now.

  • That's true, but my mullet allows me to retain at least some of my humanity.

  • Well that's interesting, thanks for sharing.

I think they handled the flashback extremely bad. Why call it a flashback if there is nothing in the game to suggest it as such? (Excluding files which most wouldn't look at)

  • Yeah goes to my point about kids being quicker to adapt. Less pre conceived notions of how the world should be.

  • Now that's fucking Zen

If you go to bed late at night and sleep until noon you'll be spared from nightmares.

To be desensitized first you must be traumatized. But I agree I don't think anything past Omid being killed will affect Clem anymore.

It wasn't done either good or extremely bad as you put it. Telltale doesn't like making everything too obvious for the players.

This expression alone made it very clear for me that it was just a flashback.

  • Lee was in the RV when it happened though. But still agree.

They'd probably have some sort of 'waking dream' scene. Like they did with Lee on the train, where he sees Clem as a zombie who attacks him.

  • That hinted at the direct opposite imo. It means that the events were happening, and as we were watching the sotry progressed 16 months. I guess open interpretation is a staple of this game though.

You know what would be sad?

If Clementine had a nightmare where she was back to the jewelry store where she had to shoot/leave Lee, and we were in control of it.

  • I'm not sure If I could pull the trigger on Lee myself.

  • That would be sad and downright painful to relive that moment from Clementine's POV. I don't think I could do it..

  • Damn, that gif just makes me want to go into my room and cry.

  • You're right. RV. My bad :) Still think it would be a cool idea. Like maybe her seeing Omid after he's shot and Christa yelling that she got him killed (even if Christa didnt say that). Or flashback to where she had to leave Lee (or shoot him).

Or all the members of the first group coming back as zombies and surrounding her and they're going to tear her to shreds when she wakes up with a start.

Or maybe the opposite - something where she's having a GOOD dream about happy times with Lee, like when he's pushing her on the swing, then wakes up to see a Walker grabbing at her and it goes from good dream to bad nightmare real world.

  • That would be interested; like if Clem loses control we practically cant control our actions either when playing; it'll make us feel more connected to the experience.

I would hope for her Trauma to be addressed in future episodes, nightmares, or flashbacks especially to the 16 month gap between seasons. But

Now I like that idea. You could have her with Sarah and have her accidentally trigger a melt down in Clem. Options for dialogue or actions keep coming on screen but all Clem does is curl up and go catatonic
