I think the wait times and the seemingly phoned-in gameplay quality of this years games has alot to do with Telltale handling more IP's. Tellt… moreale has struggled in the past with just one IP at a time, and it seems like they got 3 or maybe even 4 going at once right now. The seasons for both Wolf Among us and Walking dead are probably not going to conclude until 2015; combined with decreased quality in story and gameplay from their TWD season 1 gold standard. And that's kinda sad. I feel as if this Dev is getting ready to jump the shark.
You have always been there for me veddy. Always had my back when it mattered, what kind of a friend would i be if i wasn't there for you now? Your corpse sitting at the computer or not, i am with you to the end. You can count on me!

If you did not like that Telltale did not met their deadlines for Season 1, why did you buy Season 2?

And all it takes from them is to tell us in advance that the episode is going to take longer than expected due to some problems and to give us a teaser trailer to keep us happy until the episode is released. But instead, they stay quiet for months, and post those useless tweets from Job and @puzzlebox saying how the episode is "just around the corner" and that is coming SOON. For fucks sake TellTale, we can understand if you're having some problems developing the episodes but don't ignore your loyal customers like this, it is very unprofessional.

Yes...i did it again!
tbh once they do release some actual dates you can safely bet your life savings on the formats who have to wait a day more than others will be on here whining.
and twau ep2 was delayed two days on the xbox season pass, oh yeah that was kinda getting close to skynet proportions
I notice the "whiny bitch" backlash has been in full swing lately. If Telltale pushes the release date back any further, this place is going to make the post-Skynet apocalypse look like Teletubbies.
Last time they mentioned something "early" was with some kind of the wolf among us announcement. I think something came like the following month...lol. When they give vague timeframes like that, they usually stretch it to the max. But i have a feeling they will err on the safe side of it this time. Im guessing March 4 or 5.
No shorter than March 10th. Please continue to believe Telltale will hold up to their statement of "early March." You guys will continue to be disappointed.

Another person who has signed up just to complain. Do you have any idea why a game gets delayed? Typically it's because a developer doesn't want to release a rushed, low quality, unfinished game.
well don't you think the lack of communication comes from them trying to make the 3rd episode and thinking of more ideas for the 4th and 5th episode and a possible the walking dead season three game?

They didn't lack any communication, they just don't give details. I suspect there are very good reasons for this. @puzzlebox will post 'Soon' or 'Around the corner' to acknowledge the fact that we're still waiting. They're not ignoring us, but like most developers they just don't want to give out a whole lot of information.

they dont delay things just to laugh at consumers. Its for a reason. It seems like people cant make up their minds. "We just need communication!" Well they communicated but as was pretty obvious people didnt want communication they wanted the game. So now loads of people are still mad which leaves us with 2 options. Option 1: Telltale now releases unfinished episodes in hopes of quelling the overly upset attitude that riddles their consumers when episodes are not released in the desired time window. Option 2: Delays happen as needed to finish the product such that the developers are happy with the finished product. Thats it, you cant have both. Having both exists outside reality due to budget/staff/unforseen complications that cannot be solved with a wave of the hand. I choose Option 2. /shrug Not saying everyone is still upset, but it seems like some are still weirdly angry about this
I've gotten to know myself better during this waiting. I am now one with my mental stability, and know where to draw the line before I start t… moreo go berserk. And that limit was reached one week ago. We will all need serious therapy when this season is over.
Telltale, do you mind if I send you my therapy, and medical bills?

yes....and the final touches added and i know how the caracter i know all the story of ep 2, so how think i am joking iam games maker and lisensed by gaming video company
Actually they did lack communication for quite some time. I believe February 3rd was the first time they "communicated" to us regarding episode 2. And yes, they were ignoring us. They could have said "Episode 2 was coming soon" the day after episode 1 released hypothetically. I suspect they at least had a good idea of when the episode will be released. They could have easily said first week of March early February imo.

The argument of "quality over waiting time" is one I will never understand. Telltale is a business. One that acts in one of the most unprofessional matters I have ever seen. For people who are experiencing this first time (as in not Season 1) I understand why you can Telltale the slip. Unfortunately I and many others remember Season 1 all too well. Telltale delayed almost EVERY episode. There comes a time where if a company continuously repeats a mistake, there has to be SOME internal problem here.

Telltale reminds me of my mom when she tells me to go outside to help her with the groceries because she is just around the corner, then arrives five minutes later.
It's annoying, to be sure, but I still love my mom, and we still get groceries.
In that sense, I'm not mad, but I don't understand why in the heck she says she's around the corner when she clearly isn't.
Hmmm... it's beginning to sound an awful lot like TWAU release thread... back when TWD fans were feeling kinda smug about the impending release of episode 1.

No they couldn't. Telltale have a rough timeframe that they aim for but they don't get as accurate as 'first week of March' until certification is finished or close to being finished (which is up to Microsoft, Sony and Valve). If Telltale had officially announced a timeframe and then missed that timeframe, how much more pissed would we be?
Btw, they actually said 'S2 Ep2 to arrive in early March,' which could mean any time before the 16th. Don't be surprised if it isn't released in the first week of March.
I do agree, though, that there was a lack of communication before February. I'm not too worried about it, though, because they were still trying to hype up TWAU Ep2.
edit: also they don't ignore us, they just don't communicate as much as they used to. A year ago there were plenty folks from Telltale regularly posting here. While Season 1 was being developed, they had a show running called Playing Dead where they regularly referred to fan feedback from the forums and other places (you can watch it on Telltale's youtube channel). I don't think that has changed with Season 2, but for some reason they interact with the forums less now.

Telltale is like the caring mother that came to pick you up from your friend's house, and then starts talking to their mom for ten minutes. You could go play with your friend, but you just feel pressured because you don't know when you'll actually leave.

Because...haters gonna hate!
The negativity level seems to be increasing.
I worry about critical mass....

They didn't lie to us, but they lacked any communication. Big difference between that and lying.
Yep, and thats what has people so pissed.
I'm not saying they aren't justified to be pissed, but it isn't lying.
well don't you think the lack of communication comes from them trying to make the 3rd episode and thinking of more ideas for the 4th and 5th episode and a possible the walking dead season three game?
TWaU took 4 months because of problems, but still felt a bit unfinished.

two weeks?

Yeah, I agree.
Telltale should figure something out FAST, or it's over for them. And with that I mean they will go bankrupt. I see it coming, sadly

'soon'
If it's a Birthday present don't expect it on time
It will probably keep with the Telltale Tuesday ritual.
Well, they need to be angry at something apparently. Let them think it helps in some mysterious way.
Meanwhile, at TrollTale Games
This leads me to ask the question, is June still the deadline? Or was that a rumor? :P
A rumor, most definitely! I want some of the shit whoever said that was smoking.
u r so legit
