Scene ideas for the start of A House Divided
If you saved Pete.
Let's say after saving Pete, him and Clem head back to the cabin and Pete alert's everyone of his bite. Carlos and Luke take him to the shed to saw his leg off. Clem is just sitting at the dinner table waiting. Everyone else is with her. After awhile, Carlos walks into the kitchen covered in Pete's blood. The two have a conversation.
- Alvin: Carlos! Is Pete gonna be alright?
- Carlos: Can you all just give me and her some time to talk?
- Rebecca: Please tell me he's okay!
- Carlos: Just go. Please. This won't be long. I'll tell you later.
- Alvin: Fine.
(Alvin and Rebecca leave, but not before Rebecca gives Clem an angry look. She gives it back. After they leave, she turns to Carlos,)
- Clem: Is he going to be okay?
- Carlos: I don't know. He unconscious. Luke's with him right now. He'll let us know if he survived or not.
(Clem looks down worried. Carlos walks to the table and sits across from her).
- Carlos: Tell me what happened. Everything.
Clem: We found a bunch of dead people looking for the fishing traps. They looked like...someone already killed them. Out of nowhere a bunch of walkers attacked us.
Carlos: What happened to Nick. Is he okay?
Clem:
A-He ran off...
B-He was surrounded...
C-I don't know...
D-...Carlos: So Pete got bit during the attack?
Clem: Actually, before. He shot the walker that bit him, and that's what drew them in. Before I knew it, they were both surrounded.
- Carlos: So where were you?
- Clem: I was in the middle while they were checking each side of the river. They were both in trouble.
- Carlos: (sternly) So you decided to save someone with a lurker bite? Why?
- Clem: I tried to save them both.
- Carlos: Well you didn't. Pete's bitten, possibly dead, and now Nick's nowhere to be found.
(Clem looks down feeling guilty)
- Carlos: Hopefully, what Pete said about his cousin was true, and he might survive.
- Clem: No, it won't.
- Carlos: What?
- Clem: I had a friend who cut his arm off after he got bit. But he didn't make it. I...I found out after he saved me.
- Carlos: Oh. You're talking about Lee aren't you?
(Clem is shocked to know that Carlos knows about him)
- Carlos: Luke told me about him after you left this morning. He died trying to save you after you ran away. Clem:
- Clem:
A-Please stop
B-...
- Carlos: You left someone who gave you all the protection you needed and you had the nerve to leave him for some lunatic who brainwashed you into thinking he had your parents.
(Clem's rage starts building)
Clem:
A-That's enough
B-...
- Carlos: And now you feel that people die because of you. I didn't want to believe that but after what happened, if Pete ends up dead, you may as well make that two people that died because of your stupid actions!
(Clem tears up)
- Clem: A-Shut up!!
a-(Clem slams the table with both fists)
B-...
- Carlos: If you ask me, looks like he failed you.
- Clem: He never left an innocent child to die.
Carlos: Because you were a danger to our group!
(Clementine gets more aggressive)Clem: You knew, didn't you? You knew I'd be dead if I didn't fix my arm. You didn't even let me leave. It was just a dog bite.
- Carlos: How can you expect us to just take your word for it?
- Clem: You have your daughter, Alvin has Rebecca, you all have Luke as your leader. I've lost friends, my parents, Lee, and my friend might still be out there and I don't even know if she dead or not! I'm all alone!! I have no one!! How was I dangerous!? What can I possibly gain from lying to you?!!
(Carlos feels guilty)
(Carlos gets up from the table and heads for the door)
- Carlos: I forgot to mention the backpack you brought with you. I guess Rebecca was right. We can't trust you after all. We'll give you some food. Once Luke comes back, I want you out of here.
(Carlos leaves)
If you saved Nick.
Let's say after saving Nick, him and Clem head back to the cabin. Along the way, he hasn't said a word. He just looks depressed. Once they finally reach the cabin, Luke is there waiting for them to return. He notices someone is missing.
- Luke: Wait...where's Pete?
(Nick gives no eye contact to Luke as he walks by him)
- Nick: Ask her.
(Nick walks into the cabin. Luke looks back at Clementine)
- Luke: What happened?
The whole group (except Nick who's sitting near a window downing a bottle of whiskey) is sitting at the kitchen table. Clementine has just finished explaining everything that happened near the river.
Rebecca: Oh my God...Pete.
Alvin: I can't believe this.
Carlos: You said they were all killed by Carver?
Clem: That's what Nick and Pete said--
Nick: It WAS him.
(The group turns to look at Nick, who's now partially drunk)
- Nick: When I find him, I'm gonna fucking kill him.
(Luke gets up from the table and walks over to Nick)
- Luke: Hey man, just take it easy okay? I think you've had enough.
(Luke attempts to take the booze away from Nick, but Nick snaps and gets up in front of him)
- Nick: BACK OFF! I JUST...NEED IT OKAY?!
- Luke: Oh ok ok. Alright, just take it easy bud.
(Nick turns his attention to Clementine, who's looking at him with pity)
- Nick: You! I knew we should've killed you when we had the chance!
- Luke: HEY! Take it easy!
- Rebecca: Finally, someone makes some goddamn sense.
- Carlos: Sarah go to your room.
- Sarah: ...Fine.
- Nick: No, stay! I want everyone to hear this. She didn't tell you everything! It's her fault Uncle Pete's gone! She could've saved him, but she came to me instead!
- Rebecca: (glaring at her) Seriously?
- Alvin: You just abandoned him?
- Carlos: Nick could've taken care of himself. Why did you choose him over someone who needed your help the most?
Clem: I went to Nick because...Pete was bitten.
(a few seconds of silence. Nick goes from angry to sad. He paces around the room. He then throws his whiskey bottle out of frustration and leaves the kitchen)Carlos: Maybe if you got him sooner, we could've amputated--
- Clem: No. It never works. Ever.
- Rebecca: How the fuck would you know?
- Alvin: Rebecca would you cut her some slack already?
- Clem: Because I had a friend who got bit trying to save me. He hoped it would have worked, but it didn't.
- Carlos: You mean Lee?
(That get's Clem's attention. She looks at Luke)
- Luke: I had a talk with him about you. Trying give him more reason to trust you. No need to worry kid.
- Carlos: No. There IS need to worry. If Carver is out there killing people, then who knows if he might find us?
- Rebecca: I think SHE knows (gesturing to Clementine)
- Clem: What?
- Rebecca: I don't remember seeing you with a backpack when we first saw you. Wanna explain that to us?
- Clem: I found it near the river. Next to someone who attacked me before I met you guys.
- Carlos: What? Did he tell you anything? Any names?
- Clem: No. He didn't. He was with a group of people when he found us.
(A few seconds of silence. Luke gets up)
- Luke: We gotta go find Pete. The least we can do put him out of his misery.
(Sarah peeks her head out the kitchen door and looks at front door)
- Carlos: Sarah, what are you doing?
- Sarah: Someone's outside...

Interesting and well thought out
I can see things unfolding this way, no matter what the group is going to point their fingers at Clem. and say she did wrong. Which sort of leads to Clem's belief of "People die because of me.." Like if we were thrown in Ben's shoes from Season 1.
I like it. But I don't think Luke is a leader of cabin group. It's probably Pete and Carlos. Luke is too young.
Great start, especially the one where you saved Nick. really kept me reading.
THAT WAS THE BEST .... can you maybe describe what can happen later into the episode also?....Everyone would love that...

The "Previously on" ends and we cut to a door while hearing faint noises of walkers outside and running footsteps. Then all Clementine and Nick burst through the door and we are already with quick time events trying to find something to brace the door while Nick holds it. After it is braced, Nick and Clementine decide to search the house for anything. We go through the house and find nothing except for the remains of the people who last survived at the abandoned house. (yes I think it is an abandoned house) So Clementine returns to find Nick and sees him sitting on the floor drunk. The scene becomes intense when we are given the choice to try and take it away or talk him out of it. Either way, he will get mad at Clementine for not saving Pete while Clem desperately tries to explain.....

lol i thought everything was ok until the part where carlos starts talking about lee i don't think he would be talking about lee and keep going if clem told him to stop, and why does everyones theory have to end up with clem slapping carlos? :P
...where in this scenario did I have Clementine attacking Carlos?
because we know it is gonna happen eventually since carlos and sarah and like the exact opposites of lee and clem so if carlos ever does find out about lee I bet he will say something along the lines of he was a bad guardian for not sheltering clem or something like that

I'm actually a Film & TV student, although ironically enough I'm not learning anything from my screenwriting teacher. Believe it or not, Season One actually inspired me to learn how to write for film!
