Guys AMC's TWD is not connected with Telltale's TWD

Seriously I just find it really annoying when people try to connect the show and the game
The game is canon to the comics not the show and Glenn and Hershel are both dead in the game/comic lore
Also it even says in the season 2 faq that the game and show are not connected at all but it takes place in the comic universe but no one notices that everyone only notices the 4-6 week thing which is not even a promise (but that is for another discussion)

Am I the only one who gets annoyed at this?

Is this game series related to The Walking Dead TV show?
No. Although the TV show and our game series are both licenses based on Robert Kirkman’s comic books, there is no other link between them.

    The game is canon to the comics not the show

    I think Telltale confirmed in a reddit ama that the game is no longer canon with the comics.

    edit: Actually after some research I've found Telltale have conflicting statements about this, so feel free to discard my comment.

    I know. It annoys me when people are comparing game to TV show. And I hate AMC's show.

    Lots of people thinks that Game of Thrones TV show was BEFORE books. Don't like that too.

    yea I heard something about that but I don't think it is true I think the majority of the telltale staff consider the game canon with the comics plus if they went back on that i don't think they would have put this in the FAQ for season 2

    Do I need to have read The Walking Dead comic books to enjoy this game?
    No. Although they are set in the same universe and have some crossover points, they are each their own story and one is not required to enjoy or understand the other.

    haha yea people can be stupid at times I know people who think that think the tv show came before the comic I actually just want to bitch slap them everytime they try to argue that the comic was after the tv show same goes with the tv show/game connection thing I just want to bitch slap them people hahahaha
