Thanks Blind Sniper, I don't know why the link wasn't working. So what do you guys think of all this unused stuff?
Nick Stokes, huh. You think he has anything to do with S2 Nick in any way?
Thanks very interesting good find
"Larry's death was much sadder as he in his dying breath apologized to Lilly for not being able to protect her and her mother."
Should have been kept in would have made him a bit better
I think you replied to me by accident. :P
I think it would've made it less realistic because he had a heart attack and I don't think Kenny would bash his brains in he was still talking. Still, it would've made him more likable
I found larry death very sad particularly the fact i hated him and hope he would die then minute saw him dieing helped him then when kenny killed larry a bit of me died inside lol good question twdfan86
Another good one was the one where ben had a deathwish because as he was as he says a "fuck up" and thanked lee for dropping him
I meant to reply in general lol
Glad they didn't. I didn't choose to drop Ben but if i did and he just shouts up at me THANK YOU i wouldn't be able to take scene seriously just be laughing so hard
Another interesting one was Nate being sincere and sorry for shooting the old couple. That doesn't sound like Nate at all. Maybe they changed his entire personality. On another note I hope Nate appears in Season 2, he's the best.
It sounds like he whispers it to himself before the walkers devoured him
"Ben was a completely different character, he could use a rifle and was more scared than in the final."
We could see that in the "Next time on TWD" after episode 1 ends. Ben was shooting walkers with a rifle.
Didn't he also used to have a southern accent?
In episode 1 I would had the Doug quest (even though I would save Carley the same way I did), because I think it would have made a harder decision to make between the two of the, and I would like to see Lee do the nailing because it would kind off be a tense moment.
About the charatchers I wouldn't change anything from the game that was released, I think it TT made very good decisions in changing the charatchers from what is described in here...
In episode 2 I would like to have heard Ben's story, but not change is personality, I think people would have been more simpathetic towards him that way, I would also like to have seen the dinner scene and Larry's death as it is described in here.
For the rest I think some points and dialogues could be in the eopisode but i don't think they would made it better. Aso you notice that it was in this episodes that the gameplay was defined they changed it from a more free gameplay where you can walk around with lee from the motor inn and the farm to a more story like gmeplay where you have to follow the story
In episode 3 I wouldn't change anything
In episode 4 Ben killing Fivel would be great, it would show the exteriorization of the trauma that he had went trhough and how much he had changed and I guess the sewers quest would have been cool.
In episode 5: The sewer scene would have been cool. And I'm glad that the bullets got cutted down to 11, I mean 40? We would habe been in that scene for too much time :P
I find it interesting that all the dream and visions scenes where cut from the final game, showing that TT choose to do the game about reallity and leaving to the player to let himself be influenced or not by his/her choices instead of constantly remembering them AWESOMELY PLAYED TELLTALE
In 400 days I woudn't change anything to what it's described here
I didn't know that ._.
Ithought of that too, Nate would be so awesome if he had said that, the Nate we know is complety crazy and cold towards people he doesn't know or care
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e861UaYRDLE
And that's how it ended...what a shame!
Heh, Flimsii x) ...Hey, I would rather have this Ben than the previous Ben or Travis.
These changes are pretty interesting. I'm kind of glad they didn't go with the dream sequence with Doug/Carley, as it sounded a bit cliche.
I agree, I think doing that, besides being cliche would be like trying to force the players to remember and feel bad for what they did when the point of the game is if you feel bad you feel if you don't you don't, the game shouldn't try and make you feel that way
[removed]
Wow, that was deep.
In my oppinion dreams sequences are unnecessary, I mean the point of the game is that you project yourself towards the charatchers that you are playing with and make the decisions that you would do, and I know I would never have dreams about choosing someone to die and other to live, I'm pretyt cold, so the only thing that dream would add to my story was the fact about adding some information about Lee's past
Cutting Clementine's food would've been really nice.
Some of the sub quests sound interesting, a shame they cut them, though I think leaving a lot of this stuff out is probably for the best.
Yeah, they would've been cool. Especially the sewer one. Sounds awesome
Huh in Episode 2 you could walk back and forth from the farm to the motor inn, I actually would've liked that, but it probably take too much time to make that feature though.
"Would You like some salt on your plate of Mark's leg, sweetpea?"
I wish they kept the Doug subquest thing. I think more people would've saved him if we got to know him better.
Chopping the electrical pole with an axe would've been a bit far-fetched. I recently took down a random trailer pole that was left in my yard by the previous home owners. I had to take a chainsaw to it. An axe just wasn't going to work for that.
Yeah, but the whole intrigue to TWD is its realistic take on how a zombie apocalypse would go down. So except for the walking corpses all over the place, it should try to be as realistic as possible.
Strange that there was some Back to the Future audio in it.
Yeah. It would have made the choice too easy. It is much better that he is unhappy no matter what your choice is.
OMG. This means:
Wait so you can still talk to Kat in game about choosing duck or shawn? I really dont remember that
You can talk to her about it only when You tell Andy that Danny wanted something to get him out of the barn.
Thanks for posting this. Very interesting. Most of the changes seem like they were for the better, or just fluff that would have been nice but would've taken too much time. I would have liked to see some of these things like the Doug subquest and the longer dinner scene though. The idea of being more resistant to the St. John's offer is interesting too.
Some interesting ideas for episode 2. It would've been nice to let Larry get an emotional conclusion with Lilly, but I can see how that would've been difficult with as sudden and brutal as the meat locker choice is set up to be.
