What kinda weapons would you carry in the zombie apocalypse?

edited February 2014 in The Walking Dead

For me.....
A Henry Lever action rifle.
A Beretta M9 pistol.
And a Machete.

I'd only use my pistol when my back's against a wall, or in a firefight.
In a fire fight, the rifle would be for long range.
Mainly, for dealing with walkers, I'd use the Machete.

And if you had a vehicle, what would it be?
For me....
A Chevy Silverado.
There's a man's truck!

As far as clothing....
Wrangler blue jeans.
T shirt. ( probably a black one, as that's what I normally wear
And a denim coat.

As far as personal items, just my stainless steel watch and mariner chain,( which I wear all the time anyway), my sunglasses, and my Bible.

  • My 9mm glock 19, a crowbar and M4 carbine

  • A crowbar. Wouldn't need anything else.

  • A couple katanas if possible. I would go for stealth, light dark clothing. A couple blades, and a pistol or a rifle, for emergency purposes. For vehicle, a UN Peacekeeper Personnel Vehicle, that a hell of a car, strength and speed.

  • Well, nobody wouldn't fuck with you, if you pull that out n fight :D

  • The godsend CROWBAR!

9mm or a .45 as a side arm, crowbar for melee, either a crossbow, hunting rifle or shotgun depending on whether I wanted silence, range or the shit had hit the fan, and a ka bar for emergencies.

    Certainly not this

    Maybe this from a wall

Oh, and I drive a Falcon, so with a few modifications :)

  • Crossbow for ranged, knife for up close.

Yeah, Nitro rounds aren't really designed to be fired from a sidearm :)

Never fired a .50, leastways not a handgun, but I've seen them, fuck, maybe if it's the G virus it'd be handy :p

    A lawnmower :P

Serous answer, as guns are had to get hold of in the UK i would probably need to use melee weapons like a axe or hammer.

  • Primary: Walther P2K with silencer

    Secondary: An Assault Rifle w/scope

    Melee: Katana

    Vehicle: A Fucking Tank

    Clothes:

For the Upper Body; A white tank, A red t-shirt, a dark-blue plaid button up shirt (rolled up sleeves), and my orange/gray jacket (cuz it has 9 pockets)

For Lower Body: underwear, dark blue jeans, black socks, and white sneakers

Accessories: black winter gloves, my favourite scarf, and a cowboy hat

    viola!

  • Half Life 3 confirmed for episode 2!

  • A bolt action rifle, a 9mm, a good knife, a long sword, and a spear.

I think a spear would be the best weapon in the ZA, but they are rarely used, it would be the first weapon I would want to find.

  • I'll admit the weapons you chose would certainly make it easier to get around without getting noticed.
    As noise attracts those fuckers.

  • Best meelee weapon in ZA is a crowbar, you can use it as a tool, you can open locked doors or Windows with it and it is also very lethal.

  • edited February 2014

The 'more' you need to say is how you'd carry it with you. If you're carrying it on a train (as something like that would probably be transported), then you've got yourself one hell of a setup for survival.

You make an excellent point about the crowbar's versatility.
The reason I'd go with a machete, is that it can easily slice through skin and bone, making it a formidable weapon.
That sucker will fuck shit up!

    Dildo huh?
I didn't realize you had the hots for walkers.
    LOL!

    I'm sorry, I couldn't resist.

HERSHEL'S INFINITE AMMO SHOTGUN!!!!,and a huge metal dildo for bashing zombies

  • Hmm, for a weapon I'd carry a salt lick. Or maybe a few. Also maybe a crowbar, just in case. I'd wear some casual stuff and maybe armour if I can find it. And I'll drive a truck. Or something close to one.

  • Assuming I can choose anything..

Weapons: trench knife (for those close indoor encounters, which would be routine), a real katana for more open situations, and a Sig Sauer P227 with night sights. Anything else far away can probably be avoided by running away.

Vehicle: whatever works, really, though probably a motorcycle would be best for maneuvering and drive-by decapitations.

Clothing: something breathable, snug and knife-proof, so probably a mix of hardened leather and some kind of ceramics. It's going to have my Death - Symbolic t-shirt in there somewhere, too.

  • If ninjas were this choreographed, they wouldn't have made it into legend.

  • I would take a shotgun. Then all I'd need would be Hershel's infinite ammo shotgun recipe.

  • Fair enough, but what happens when you have to take it out? I mean, do you just drop it on someone, or else how would you clear its range if it went off?

  • Nucklear bomb weights over 100 000 kg, and it can only be dropped from airplane.
