Well, I can honestly say that I hate the Governor so much. But the makers certainly did a good job when they created this character. It makes the series more watchable.
I love the governor. He is one of my all time favorite villains. And you guys are ruining it for me. I enjoy him so much because he's not misunderstood. He's not a good guy who accidentally became a bad guy like a cheesy villain in Spiderman. He chopped off Rick's hand for no reason. He locked Michone in a room and raped her daily. It's rare to get a genuinely evil villain and that's the way I want to remember him.
Oh, I hate that he killed Hershel as well. I hate everything he does. But from a storyline point of view I love him as a villain. Like I said before, he's not some cheesy Spiderman villain. He didn't drink a potion and get turned into a bad guy against his will. Or part of a horrible experiment gone wrong. No, he's more like the Joker in The Dark Knight. He does evil things simply because he can. He seems to enjoy the chaos it creates.
Of course I'm talking more about the comic book Governor than the TV show.

Yeah, I've caught up to the latest episode. What a series its been so far! My most favourite ever.
Yeah I was in tears when he decapitated poor Herschel. He was such a good guy. Its amazing how long he lasted, with only one leg.
