Question about Ep. 2...

So In the trailer we obviously see Nick and Pete doesn't show up at all, Do you think Nick will survive and Pete will die no matter what your choices were ? Or did they make the trailer one of the two ways the second episode could go choosing the Nick path ? If Nick lives no matter what how do you think the choice in episode 1 affects his relationship with you? Feel free to discus below !

Well I want to hear something about Carver while cutting off his leg.
I think it would be way cooler if Pete lives if you ran to him. That way Clem would actually know amputating can work.
Yeah I agree it would make your choices somewhat important, They could of just used the Nick path for the trailer but i doubt it

In Season 1 trailers, they only showed Doug in them. So with all the trailers they just showed scenes from the episodes in which you saved Doug. I'm assuming they're doing this with Season 2, only with Nick
Thats what im hoping because I want my choices to have an impact ! There is no point in saving Pete if he is gonna die 5 minutes later
I'm guessing that they did just use the Nick path. I went with Nick on my first playthrough and he chewed me out for running over to him LIKE HE TOLD ME TO. I should have saved Pete.
I already said this in the official blog post's discussion in response to a similar question, but it doesn't hurt to spread it around.
In the Walking Dead S1 official episode trailers released on the blog for EP2 Starving For Help and EP3 Long Road Ahead they only showed the viewpoint of those who saved Doug. Carley never made an appearance, for their "coexistence" would have been quite odd considering only one would live into those episodes.
Doug/Carley style branching is hard to capture within a single trailer you see. As such I believe that for those who saved Pete the experience will be a whole lot different, where he probably replaces Nick for the most part. That is considering that Nick dies within this episode either off-screen or due to circumstances unintentionally caused by Pete's presence to even things out and giving Pete space to take his spot.
At least I sure hope so. His voice actor also voiced Danny St. John and this would be the second character he had the chance to voice - both of which would only live for one episode. I would really like more of him, just saying. Also, Pegleg Pete would be the most amazing thing ever.

I would be mad as hell at Telltale if they really are gonna let Pete die 5 minutes after I took my time to "Save" his life !
I don't think they will just kill of Pete like that. There has to be a way to make the decisions we made important and just making Nick and Clems relationship change depending on if you decided to safe Pete or not isn't as big of a deal. I also think that they didn't show Pete in this trailer on purpose, i don't think they wanna Spoil it yet if Pete survived the amputation or not.
In episode 2 the group is running away from Carver and his people and i think a 1leged Pete will struggle to keep up with them. Maybe that's one of the ways how he's gonna die.
They left Lee die no matter what you did to his arm, Carley and Doug have the exact same death at the same place,Ben dies 30 minutes after you saved his life, Kenny sacrifices himself no matter what, You get separated from Lilly no matter what you choose, We can't look at it like that because Telltale has done this before all we can do is hope this time things go differently
It would make those who saved Pete so happy if their decision actually mattered

EDIT: Two, because of Ben's teacher.
Though the last amputation of season one isn't what killed that character, it was that he cut it off too late.

Well, a really big plot point for those who saved Pete is the amputation itself. Nick runs away no matter what, but those who went with Pete? We still have to cut off his leg and see if it actually works. Showing Pete AT ALL would completely spoil the outcome of the amputation.
Thats why there is a high chance they just used the Nick path for the trailer, It doesn't really spoil anything and keeps it pretty simple
Well yea you'r right about that. I just hope they won't kill off Pete just like this. He should atleast be able to survive the amputation. But we have to remember Carlos is a pretty shitty doctor after all:D

I'm afraid that telltale going to kill him like they did it with Carley & Doug. We think we made a choice and we gave them a chance but we reallly didn't...
