Mars

I don't think anyone has made a thread about this, but, it has been in the news recently that liquid water has been found on Mars. What is your opinion on this? Do you think its a good indicator that we are closer to the answer to the question "Is there life out there?"
I think its certainly very interesting.
Anyway, here's a link to an article:

  • that feel when Mars probably has more water than California

  • I do think that there's life out there, most likely underground than on the surface. It could just be bacteria but anything counts.

  • I think it's pretty exciting, i saw on twitter that some people where underwhelmed by the announcement but this is a big thing as they never expected to find liquid water on Mars.

  • I was pretty excited. I am always excited when I hear some amazing space discovery. :)

  • i think nasa need to check under the planets surface there could be life unerground

  • Before I form an opinion I need to know what kind of shirts the scientists had on.

If we counted bacteria, then technically there is life out there. Since when humans went to the moon they were bound to leave bacteria there, and there was bound to be bacteria that could survive on the moon. Though it still would have died before it could actually evolve into something interesting.

I do think that there's life out there, most likely underground than on the surface. It could just be bacteria but anything counts.

  • I for one welcome our new Martian overlords.

  • No doubt there's other life in the universe.

But, there's a lot more than there being H2O on a planet to constitute if it could bear life of any kind. If water alone was indicative or the bringer of life, then trust me, we'd have life on other planets and moons even. So at the moment I'm not sold on life being out there on Mars. There's a moon that either orbits Jupiter or Saturn, but there's a possibility it has a huge frozen lake surface. And that it also might hold life on it, but a form of life we'd have absolutely now idea how it'd came to be.

  • This revelation is the first step to the destruction of our species.

Water on Mars = Colony on Mars

Colony on Mars = Scientific Research and advancement

    Scientific Advancement = Teleporters

Teleporters = Gateway to Hell and demonic invasion

Therefore, this revelation means that our future is literally DOOM.

  • That's a very pessimistic way of looking at it, lol

I found out about it during music class while researching Jazz stuff in music using google

  • Ah yes, I always learn about ginormous scientific discoveries while googling music.
