For the LOVE OF GOD use the SPOILER POST ICONS when posting a message!!

Man I am sick of these threads that give away spoilers!!! The devs have added a tag you can put on your posts so a little image shows up saying spoiler..

PLEASE USE IT

I avoided the forums while playing through the episode and I use
spoiler tags
whenever possible.
Just shut off your internet connection, enjoy your playthrough and then return to discuss this awesome game :)

Yeah, I'd recommend playing the game yourself before coming here. Even though we have spoiler tags, there's always going to be one or two people that forget, or just want to ruin it for others. If you really don't want to know what happens, just avoid the forums.

i used the forums when playing through the episode and didn't have any problems. i didnt see any spoilers in the subject lines and avoided topics that seemed likely to give stuff awa such as chapter 1: share your thoughts! i dont need spoiler icons to tell me that thread is likely to give spoilers!

yea i will do that form now on... just that in Australia we have primitive internet and there are no unlimited bandwidth plans so at this time i am "shapped" speed limited to 56K.... so I can not get the game yet..

I just came here to get some ideas on how the game is getting received by other adventure game fans but all i get is spoilers.. os i have given up...

guess i will have to wait the extra 2 weeks :( with out the small fixes i was hoping to get form teh forum.

It's not just when the game is out, though. There is probably too many instances of spoilers when the game is out to use the forums before playing, but in-between games, people post things they have seen in preview videos without spoiler tags too. These are the ones tend to get me. I tend to avoid videos for games I know I'm going to play to avoid spoilers. I would also like to request people learn to use spoiler tags, but with an emphasis on spoilers from preview material.

Is there a button for adding the [] Spoiler codes too? I always typed those by hand, because i didn't find it, and actually guessed that they existed because i saw the white areas used by others.

Jynks, your thread made me laugh hard. :D
You're right, but I suggest you to avoid reading these threads until you finish the game, it's too dangerous and someone surely won't use the spoiler tags.
Be careful :)

It's something of an unwritten rule that the contents of an episode are considered spoilers until the next is released.

You may want to bear that in mind if you are going to wait till the end.

Also, a good way to teach spoiler tags to to use a little known tag called "noparse" which makes the forum ignore any other tags between those two

So...
Spoiler Text Here

Gives you...
Spoiler Text Here

That way you can just tell them to copy and paste the format EXACTLY as it appears ;)

I think it would make more sense if they just integrated a button into the Forum. It's not rocket science, especially since the code is already there for the other tags.

I didn't know that. Now the question is, will I remember it?
Thanks for the post. :)
