Telltale's Newer games vs Older games
Telltale's older titles (TWAU and TWD) vs Telltale's newer titles (TFTB, GOT, MC:SM).
Which are better? For me, I would pick the "newer titles".
The mature contents part:
-The swearing is reduced a lot, I mean literally, the word "fuck" is only used ONCE in TFTB. While I can't even count HOW MANY TIMES Bigby used it in TWAU.
-No more horror. in TWAU, examining detatched heads, in TWD, obviously... All horror themes were removed in TFTB and GOT.
The storyline:
Both GOT and TFTB, even MC:SM had better stories. (By that, I mean it does not leave us with fucking cliffhangers). TWAU still had the best story imo. (Other than the ending)
It's more realistic. The characters in older titles seem like super humans (Bigby landing on a car with not even a scratch even though the roof of the car was bended and carrying an entire car), seriously.
No more "unexplained" stuff anymore. (Or at least not yet so far). There was SO MUCH stuff left unexplained in TWAU.

Bigby is a fable, what do you expect?
I was thinking this was their older Point & Click adventure games before TWD versus their narrative driven Point & Click adventure games after TWD.
Anyway I'd probably say I'm really enjoying the newest narratives (aside from GOT).
Like what?
TWAU and TWD don't really count as older titles man, they're barely different from the recent games. If you wana compare old with new then compare the S&M and Tales of Monkey Island masterpieces with the narrative ones.
That new stuff you pointed out isn't telltale evolving, it's just them working with different source material.
TWAU and TWD are a lot darker than the other ones because their sources are as well.
TWDS1 and TWAU are imo the best Telltale titles so far. Plus, some of the "newer" are (again, imo) too much commercial and purposely based on already famous titles just to gain more profit. Guess which title I'm referring to.
TWAU and TWD S1>>>> any other of their recent games
